Beautiful, vivid colors. I feel like I've been here before, yet it could be anywhere. I have driven on many a mountain road. The Sierra Nevadas, the California Coastal Range, Yosemite, the Ozarks, Colorado, and more. I love "the purple mountains majesty" of our beautiful country. "The fruited plains" do not have quite the same appeal to me.
Heard from Lyn yesterday, my friend in New Zealand with the cancer. She sent me two books which must have been very special to her a small book called Common prayer, abut 1 -1/2 inches by two inches bye 3/4 inch with a date in it of Christmas 1897 and the other a new testament about the size of the small Bibles that the Gideons leave in motels and look just as old, but could not find a date in it. Tried to call her today but it just went to her answering machine. She must be getting close to her time to be sending things like that which must have been very precious to her. Will keep you posted.
