Happy Birthday to you, must be nice to be so young...will put you on my June birthday calendar, I have one later this month but quit counting years ago....Haven't worn high heels for years, would probably break something if I did, I love the shoes & they are my favorite color.

Happy birthday Gina.
And many more to come. You are of an age that you should certainly have a great many more. :-)

Gina, your 30th birthday is a special enough occasion to wear red high heels. In fact, you, on any day, are special enough to dress up and celebrate just being alive. You are wise beyond your years to have learned not to wear heels every day. They ruin your feet and your back. God bless.

God bless you on your birthday. It took me 4 years to go from 29 to 30, Did not want to leave the twenties. Love the shoes but not on me. I do have a pair of red sandles.

Thank you all for your wishes! God bless you! I love wearing bright colors, especially blue and red...when I wear high heels, I avoid long stiletto heels..I am curvy and I don't feel comfortable to wear them for a long time, especially when I have to walk much or dance...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GINA!!!! Hope it is one of your best. You have all of us "older" puzzlers reminiscing about when we were that age, I am more than twice that many years now. I hope you have a wonderful life ahead of you, enjoy every day, they pass so quickly. Birthday Hugs.

Happy Birthday Gina even if I am late. Missed your comment probably by going back and forth on puzzles and not reading everything till finished with the puzzle counts I am doing.
For some reason 30 was my hardest age to go to. Couldn't stand going from my 20s to my 30s. Found out later my Dad was the same way when he was turning 30.
Well hope you had a nice day and many more!

Seaview, thank you! I had a great day! In the afternoon some friends and relatives came by for a cup of coffee and pastries...We read fairy-tales with my 3 year old niece, and then we blew out the candles of my birthday cake...
I didn't have this 30's issue (thank God)...My hardest age to go was 25 though....I don't know why..

Was stable but has just come home from hospital after a bout of pneumonia and combined with his heart failure it was very scary but he is a fighter. Ive got to have an MRI scan of my knee its seems that I have probably tore a tendon as well as the osteoarthritis which may need surgery

Let's pray it's just a bad strain. You have had a plateful of bitter greens. Let's ask God for a respite here. I'm happy your husband is home but that also means his care is all on you now so God should give you some help and answer our prayers, right?

Thanks for your prayers unfortunately we have no local family all his family are 350miles away and are farmers so very busy this time of year, They are taking time out next Saturday as I have arranged a surprise birthday for him it will be very emotional. I have a friend who has started doing my cleaning and will have to have carers in if I have to have knee surgery but as an ex senior nurse im a hard task master. I do have the support of an excellent GP and heart failure specialist nurse

Mamg, I hope your wedding renewal was wonderful. Congratulations. We will have been married for 44 years in August. My husband doesn't go in for celebrations. He would not do any renewals and I made my wedding dress so it would fit me for that when I got older. Oh well.

I am so happy that you are going to be celebrating 44 years. That is something not heard of much anymore. A couple in my church is gong on 58 years. I am surprised my husband wanted to do a renewal also, since he does not like being around a lot people. What made it easy for him however is most of the people who attended were church members whom we now consider our family.
Best wishes for many more years to you and your husband.

I'm one of those people addicted to shoes and boy do I love red ones.
My feet go out of joint in certain flats and low heels but luckily they don't in high heels and my balance is still good.
Wishing you all the kind of shoes you need to be comfortable when you take a walk.

Glad I live in Florida.......no clothes no problem.

Pixi, there's nothing like a pair of pretty red heels to make you feel like dancing! I still wear heels, but stick to 2 1/2 inches for the most part - and I alternate heel heights and shoe styles daily. Obviously, I'm still working and expected to have a fairly professional outfit on...My favorite of all is plain barefoot.
pixipixil
Jun 8, 2015
I have very small feet, aknan, so at my size 5 1/2 shoe 2 1/2 heels would be plenty for me also unless they are platforms. I love wedgies that are high heeled sandals. My favorite shoes were red suede 2 1/2 inchers that had scalloped edges and a little bow in the back. They were close-toed pumps. So girly.

Jun 12, 2015
Now that sounds like a cute shoe but I don't care for the ones on the puzzle. The little bow in the back especially sounds cute, and the scalloped edges. Wish I could see the real shoes.

Ha ha ha, lol pixie. That is so funny! At least your not having a screwball dream like I had last night about someone cutting my toenails. Cant figure why I would have such a crazy dream and I never let my toenails get long anyway so go figure. That was one stupid, oddball dream I had.

High heels and the damage they cause. I used to wear very high heels and people used to tell me that I would have back problems later in life, they were sooooooo right. And some of the heels I see today, in the name of fashion, are worse than those I wore.

"My happiest memory of childhood was my first birthday in reform school. This teacher took an interest in me. In fact, he gave me the first birthday presents I ever got: a box of Cracker Jacks and a can of ABC shoe polish." Flip Wilson

Also known as Geraldine, who made me laugh on many occasion. He was a great comedian.

"The devil made me do it." Flip Wilson

A really overused quote hahahahaha.

God bless all those with a wonderful sense of humour who can make others laugh. Hugs.

Did you read the "Anne of Green Gables" books? I loved the story of when she and Marilla were looking after the twins, Davy and Dora. Davy raided the (I think) biscuit-box, and Marilla asked him sternly, "Didn't you say 'Get thee behind me, Satan'? " "Yes, " said Davey, "And he pushed me into them."!!! Mind you, it's been a long time - some details may be wrong :-))

That was part of Flip Wilson's "schtick, " making comments that were nonsensical, as in being one year old and in reform school.

Flip was the kind of comedian who could really give you belly laughs.

Yes, Aussie. Unfortunately everyone with great talent is not always a good Christian. I also love the music of Billy Joel who has written some offensive stuff too. I skip over that stuff. God doesn't throw out the good with the bad so why should I?

The quote by Flip Wilson made me think of my father in law when he was still around. He got pulled over for speeding when him and my mother in law were on their way back home to the ocean. He told the cop that the devil made him do it and the cop never gave him a ticket, and I bet the cop had a good laugh for the day, ha ha!
