Yum and I bet there are cooks out there who can make this cake.

Never read a book through merely because you have begun it.
--John Witherspoon

"The expression of our truth is an ancient action through which we actually discover our place in the world; the true shape of our being and our individuality. It is how we create firm boundaries and allow others to know who we are and what we value." ~ John Earle

"And of course, respecting other people's boundaries is equally important." unknown

A very wet and rainy good night to you all. God bless you. Hugs.

After the rain comes the sun and all God's creatures are washed clean. We had an additional 9 inches of snow yesterday. At least you don't have to shovel rain! Hugs.

I'm all for the Witherspoon quote - if a book just isn't interesting (and you don't have to read it for a course), don't waste your time. Go read something else - life is too short for boring books!

I make a cake similar to this using the ladyfingers but the filling is a lovely chocolate mousse.

Oh yes trynfindit, the chocolate mousse cake with the ladyfingers. That is so good. I do wrap a red ribbon around it and top it with chocolate covered strawberries. I only make it for Valentine's day, but this year I did not make it. I was too sick with the shingles. :( I think I'll make it for Easter instead. Thanks for reminding me. :))

Aknan - well I did do some shovelling yesterday with the squeegee, lots of water puddles. The sun is shining brilliantly today, so can take the car out lol. Hugs.

We have had sunshine, clouds, rain, high winds, and hail today. I think they cancelled all weather for tomorrow.

Trynfindit, I thought the chocolate mousse was extinct.

No PW, it's not often seen but when a chocolate mousse appears it's quickly wiped out.

It's been raining all day here so your rainy night wishes are quite applicable. I love the sound of rain, love you too!

Looks yummy delicious. I could sure go for something like that right now. I've been working hard the last few days both in the house and outside and feel as though I have earned some comfort food.

God bless you all.

It's good to see you on more often "tomandray". Hubby & I have both been down with bronchitis...son gave it to us. We are just getting over it...I'm so far behind not sure I will ever get caught back up! Hope you are feeling better too...

I think that's a Charlotte Russe. At first, I thought those were strawberries.

I did too. Raspberries are usually rounder on top.

I think the raspberries are stuck in top first to make little pyramids. Jingles, I have several recipes, but they require a large footed glass to make them in, so I've never tried to make a russe. Have eaten them many times and they're just delicious.
