I LOVED doing this 192-pc. classic puzzle of the flamingo, even though I had to save it for awhile and get some sleep. I've always admired this bird for their color, as well as their thin legs. I discovered from reading about them that they eat salmon a lot. It contributes to their coral coloring.

They get their colouring from the food they eat, just as well we don't - we would all be funny colours. I would be green as I love salads lol. And everyone knows it is not easy being green, just ask Kermit lol

And the greatest gift is love. God bless you. Hugs.

God bless you too, aussie. I love such a mix of foods, I would be multi-colored! Not the camo colors, either. The bright ones. Green beans, yellow squash, browned chicken, red tomatoes...

No, it doesn't look very pink in this picture. Maybe it's the lighting. I have seen real, pink, flamingos.

This is such a brightly colored bird, how does it hide from predators? I see them on the beaches of lakes and swamps, sleeping on one leg, seemingly oblivious to the world around them.

God bless you all and may you also have the ability to stand on one leg for long periods of time. That takes some real balance!

I wonder if they ever get tired of eating shrimp. Now, I'm thinking of some all you can eat shrimp buffet, but, for the most part, I've been avoiding shrimp unless I know where it's from. Some places in Southeast Asia, it's advised to not eat the shrimp - they're raised in these lagoons where there's not much water movement, so the shrimp are eating a lot of the other shrimps' waste.

Maybe I could take a flamingo from the zoo to an all you can eat shrimp buffet.
