Yeah, everyone I have seen has been black. Like they say, you learn something new everyday.

True - I can see why ppl would want to buy a kindle. They can be at a doctors office or airplane and read. I recall when they didn't have to kindles I had to buy a book to take on the plane.

I have a Kindle, but I still buy books when one of my favorite authors releases a new one. It is more expensive but I feel it is a better experience. Doesn't make much sense but that is the way I am. The Kindle is very convenient though.

Handsome dog. Nice grooming job, too. I miss my Jack Russell, Emma, who passed on June 8th of last year. Terribly.

Beautiful dog. Too big for me. I had some local news yesterday that is very bad. A little 7-year-old boy died from the flu and strep throat Sunday. He did not live too far from my area in Virginia. The flu this year has got to be the worst I ever heard of. He was sent home from school on Fbut he riday and his dad took him to urgent care on Saturday. The Dr. gave him some meds to help but the little guy still could not keep food down and his fever was still high. He went to bed that night and when his older sister tried to wake him he was cold and unresponsive. They called 911 and he pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.
One of our little Sunday School boy's had the flu and he is doing okay. He went to school on Monday. we are wondering why it took one boy and not the other. We thank God Jax is okay. These kids were about the same age.
I am so worried that my husband is going to get it. So far he is okay. Please stay safe, use lots of bleach and hand sanitizer. Please say a prayer for the Bayne's family as they mourn the loss of their little boy.

Mamag, we know we'll lose our parents, we anticipate the death of a spouse, but no one ever thinks they'll lose a child, especially one so young, and certainly not to the flu. I'm sure God has a plan for that little boy, but He doesn't disclose these things to us. My prayers of comfort go to the family and to you, too, with your worry about your husband. Hugs of compassion to you.

So sad mamag, as faras your husband is concerned, put him in God's hands and just trust with all your heart. Hugs.

So very sad to hear of a child who passes. My heart and prayers go out for that family. With so many people being anti-vaccination these days, I wonder how many bugs are going to morph into something worse. Not only that, but they gave the wrong vaccine (A) for this year's flu bug. If you haven't got the B vaccine yet, maybe there's still time to do so. Any door you touch, any counter top, may well have flu bugs on 'em. Wash hands before and after going to the toilet and purell whenever you've touched anything. Wear a mask if you have one, 'cause some germs are airborne. The old "ounce of prevention" whenever you can.

So sad mamag I will say a prayer for the family that loss the little boy. And I will keep your husband in my prayers that he wont get the flu either. I know this season is real bad knock on wood I haven't got it yet. I haven't been at work since October 25 2017 because I had a stroke but February 6 I will be going back 4 hours 2 days a week. So I am a little worry that I might end up with it now since I work at a hospital.

Thank you all for the prayers to the Bayne's family. I am still concerned that hubby will get sick. He is doing okay but his resistance is way down due to the COPD, diabetes, and emphysema. Hopefully it will bypass. I have been keeping a close eye on him for any signs of anything that may be different. God bless and please stay healthy.

Don't know why but it took me foreverto do this puzzle, guess because I'm trying to watch an old movie at the same time " An Apartment for Peggy". I just love old movies, would rather watch them than most of todays movies. Seems like most newer movies are mostly special effects and skimp on the actual story. What a wonderful dog so very friendly looking, very pretty coloring. Thought Newfoundlands were only white. All you fellow puzzlers stay safe and have a good day ;-)

I'm with you on the old movies. The story lines were so interesting they didn't need special effects - they didn't even need color.

KarenBuglet so nice to find another old movie buff. Most people my age think I'm nuts, I guess they figure because they are black and white and they don't recognizethe stars names, that the movies are no good. Boy are they missing out!!!!
