Some of those numbers look like my age and my dress size. I ought to delete this one for being too accurate.

I was reading back to some of your comments. Terabyte, My husband and I went to Yellowstone about 6 years after the big fire. Of course you could see the black skeletons of the old trees, but nearer to the ground there were new trees about 4 foot tall and below that were beautiful flowers, whose seeds probably sat there for years waiting for the overhead to be cleared so that they could bloom. It was life renewing itself, fantastic to behold. it was the hand of God in nature renewing the world. I hope you did well in the fires. Fire season is here in Pennsylvania, Arizona, New Mexico, etc. We will survive and life will renew itself.

Tape measures, I've been plagued by them this Christmas 4 out of 5 crackers I've pulled had one in it, at least I should be able to find one when I need it. Colourful puzzle and I enjoyed solving it.

What are crackers?
Barbaranne

Crackers are a Christmas (mostly) table decoration, 2 people pull them and they go with a small bang and inside there is usually a small gift, a paper hat, and a joke or riddle, great fun. Crackers can vary in price and the contents depend on what you pay for them.

I looked through the C4J calendar from the beginning and not one puzzle had a picture of a cracker in it. C4J can you produce one so that netta can see what a cracker looks like?

We don't have any jigsaws of crackers yet. We'll try to add one in the future. Thanks for the suggestion!

I know what a cracker looks like, Barbaranne. I just wanted to see how you would describe it! It was pixipixil who asked what they were.

I enjoy crackers. It's my husband's family traditions, and his sister is the one who supplies them for everyone in the family. This year we had toys in them, along with charades. We had a lot of fun.

I like puzzles like this one 'cause it has different colorful sections though the dark brown is not one of my favorites.

So many lovely people on here. Been trying to post on here for a couple of days, but for some reason the messages are not going through. One of the fires is on the island where I live, but next suburb over. Getting lots of smoke but so far not in danger. I am really humbled by those caring comments and prayers for us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are all so wonderful and I do appreciate your prayers. God bless you all. Bribie is the name of the island where we are, so maybe you would like to google the news to see how things are going here. Most of the island is national park and that is where the fires are. Thank you again, love you all.

Hi Kevin thank you all at C4J for making this site available, you are the best. Do the team get to read all the comments? Also how many different countries do you cover?

We're hoping that the fires don't reach you aussiesapphire. I live in the western USA where fires were out of control most of the summer. One fire here in Idaho was so bad and out of control that they just let it burn itself out. We had smoke all summer because the wind usually blows west and we live west of the fire. It was not fun. Sometimes we couldn't even see the next block down our street because the smoke and haze was so thick. Take care aussiesapphire. I agree with you that it is so wonderful to be able to communicate with such awesome people through this site. And from so many parts of the world! Until tomorrow......

I wrote but think I forgot to hit post reply as it isn't here. Please add me to your list of pray-ers. All the fires are so frightening and sad. I remember many years ago when Yellowstone Park had a huge fire. I had visited it once and it broke my heart to think of all that beauty destroyed. But of course it has been growing back. I hope your ff's will be able to contain it and the weather will cooperate to help put it out. How wonderful to be living on an island that's a park.
I have a picture book of Australia's coast and will look for Bribie. Best of luck and if they say leave do it right away and be safe.
