Very beautiful dog. Never known a Golden Retriever to drool because they don't. Yes true St. Bernard's drool lots. This breed is very large 160 pounds. A neighbor had a English Bulldog and he said his drooled.

You too. We are getting ready for two days of steady rain. Will bring the Ohio River pretty close to flood stage. Will be helping my friend clean out the basement of her business. Just for precaution. Have a good one.

Yes we did. Raised the Ohio River to 4' of hitting flood stage. Thank goodness the rain stopped and the sun came out. Everyone was watching the gage very carefully. It's going down now, but very slowly. If it started to rain again it wouldn't take much to send it back up again. Ugh. Have a good afternoon.
Ah Starrphyre, some drool more than others I don't think retrievers are too bad. My daughter has English Bulldogs and they drool a lot!

I used to have a German Shepherd that seldom seemed to drool. One of my cousins had a St. Bernard - that was a drool machine.

My old neighbor had seven, yes (7) Golden Retrievers at their home. They are well behaved dogs, really mild in personality and they really did not drool much at all. Very nice dogs. :) Have a wonderful day. :)

The Golden we had didn't drool. I think some of the worst "droolers" are some of the snub-nosed dogs like bulldogs, boxers, pugs, mastiffs. One of my daughters had a Boston Terrior that not only drooled but would sneeze, shake her head and fling the drool everywhere. YUK.

Love, love, love big dogs. Just don't have the stamina to keep up with them any more. German Shepherds and Great Pyrenees are my favorite big dogs.

I think Goldens are usually pretty cool. LOL - I was just trying to stir up some comments! I wasn't too far off though, from one comment above: "did not drool much" - Well, heck. I rest my case!
Even 'tho I don't own one, I have a stuffed one. They are so gentle a dog, and VERY pretty and tame to pet. They are one of my favorites, besides the Bichon Friches, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
Ha Ha this should arouse some respondents rather PDQ! LOL
