Lovely healthy looking plants.

"Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude." —Denis Waitley

"Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is." —Mary Anne Roadacher-Hershey

[But we know it isn't in response to her last sentence.) WOOHOO

Good night and God bless. Hugs.

Aussie-I need your help. You are very wise. Planting is my mantra. But my BFF lost 2 brothers & 2 beautiful Great White Pyrenees in Oct. Now her husband wants to move away close to the water, She is the kind of woman who listens to her bully of a husband, but she NEEDS to be close to her family & friends & have a dog at her side. She sent me a text asking me to stop messaging & phoning her--I'm scared. Anyone out there w/advice?

Hi BayGrannie, thank you for your message - afraid that it out of my sphere of "wisdom" (thank you for saying that), and I find the only course of action, as is the case with my daughter who has not spoken to me in over five years, is to keep loving and keep praying. I know it is hard to do, but just put it in God's hands, and leave it there. The last part of this is the hardest. Not sure this is helpful, but hope so. Hugs.

Thanks Aussie. I do hear constantly to pray and put it in God's hands--but His hands must be so sore keeping up with all of us. Hugs right back at you.

BayGrannie, this is a tough situation. It sounds very much like spousal abuse - he's trying to cut her off from family and friends. You can report this to a social services agency, but until she gets up enough courage to bolt, your hands are tied. As aussie says, keep praying for her health and safety. I will.

Awww I'm so sorry Aussie. I told my family to stop contacting me. Actually it's my sister. I wrote her about all of the negative gossiping rumors. She replies that would make anyone say omg! She replies oh your comment doesn't make any sense. Then you make in the future you can recall the correct and accurate events. Wonderful two surgeries and nothing. Had another surgery a couple weeks ago and then she contacts me. Then my uncle attempts to tell me she cares about moi.....rofl yeah right

She probably does in her own way. Sometimes we have to accept people and circumstances for who and what they are. I have found in the past that it gives me peace of mind to do that. Works for me in any case. Hugs Carolsapple.

When I went to the doctor for my condition in February - I was asked if I'm involved in a domestic abuse situation. Then I had to go online and fill out forms for a surgical procedure. On one page I was asked again if I was involved in this situation. I'm embarrased to say what I've done. Ugh! I can't find some eye glasses. Was dealing with a migraine - headache - dizzyness and nausea. I told hubby and he replies oh take the puppy outside.

You know, Carol, I also suffer from migraines--mostlyfrom my epilepsy. I think my husband feels the same way yours does. Easy for them--SHOULD be easy for us. BUT mental abuse is all about bullying. It is NOT about love. As you, my dogs bring me peace--he could care less. I have heard this story so many times--I want the Good Lord above to erase it. Wouldn't it be great if we "rejects" could live together w/our pets & be happy!

Yes I know that about mental abuse - it's about power and isolation as well. Then when I'm at the doctors office I'm asked by the nurse "Are you involved in a domestic abuse situation. Oh they ask that with everyone now. Then when I had to fill out the forms to the surgery center they asked that as well. I feel that I have to take the migraine meds and then wait til the pain goes away. Then I'll get up do what's important. Hubby will often say oh just lie down and you'll feel better. Ugh! some days I just want to strangle him! Infact I had to change my phone number because I received a death threat over the phone. I was scared so I contacted the police. I was scared for a week. Geez!

We sent new photos of our new puppy to the breeder. She wanted an update and pics of the puppy. She's in obedience training at the moment. The trainer said that she has to focus and leave her. We can visit and check on her. I really miss her! She'll be home in a couple weeks. Hubby would hold - fine. I'd ask me to pick her up and then I did and poof she'd bite or nip. I know she's a puppy but were trying to break that habit.

Carol-I'm sorry you are having trouble w/your new pup. What's up w/breeder? She's YOUR baby now. Also I'd visit that trainer as often as I could. It sounds like he/she is not using POSITIVE feedback...but has her for a couple weeks!!?? She may be puppy playing and nipping, but is she really biting? If you live close by me--Barrington RI--I'd be happy to come & visit you--sort of like strength in numbers. Please let me know.

Baygrannie - our breeder was just following up. She doesn't live nearby. We live in Florida and she lives several thousand miles away. The trainer lives close by - I'm on pain meds now due to 2 different conditions. I'm planning on making a dessert for memorial day. I don't think she's really biting - she's biting because that's her way of playing. She's a very young puppy.

Carol--great for you making dessert while on 2 pain meds--I'd probably be flat on my back! Back to puppy--s/he probably has baby teeth. Pup needs to gnaw b/c those will be gone by 6 months, so perm teeth r probably pushing up on baby teeth (believe me I've got the dining room chairs & wooden (? ) hairbrushes to prove this). Oh well, all part of the fun. Also, I had another pup who was fixated on a 5 ft tall Norfolk Island tree. One day, she undug it & came barreling into see me--roots & all (she was so proud! ). All I said was wait until your father comes home...she really smiled then...

Our puppy is being trained right now. The trainer sent a text to hubby last night. He texts if things don't work out with you will take her. Then he text another message saying about us getting rid of her. Then the trainer texts about an agressive dog and bit someone Hubby text him back and said you sure you have to right client. Finally when hubby told him she was a sheltie puppy he realized he had the wrong client. He even sent a pic of a dog that was suppose to go to someone else. He finally text oh oops sorry that message was suppose to go to someone else.

Sorry is not exactly the right way for trainer to decide life or death situations--so glad your hubby sent that text. Good luck for you & your baby. Even at Petco, they teach positive reinforcement & know the puppies' names. My advice--bring that Sheltie home NOW. Teach s/he positive things & that you are glad to have s/he home.
