Everything from soups to nuts as the saying goes. Don't know what some of their names are, but looks mighty fresh.

Boy that all looks so good. Too bad the produce section in the stores have ended up with such outrageous prices on a lot of it anymore. Glad I at least have some fruit trees and berries and can have a garden.
Got a call from dentist office and they upped my appointment to the beginning of May which is way better then July. Now I have to find a way to stay calm so I can get something done. I make myself a total wreck before I go as it makes me so nervous and I need to find a way to calm down so I can get this taken care of or they will send me home again. Any suggestions out there?

Well, let's see. Seaview, do you have any kids? If you do (or did) would you send them to a dentist for regular check-ups? It is an important health check for your whole body. Sure isn't my fave place to go, either, but we know it is very important.

I worked for dentists for over 30 years. Please ask them to give you valium to take the night before and an hour before your appt. Be sure to have a driver with you! Does your dentist offer nitrous or other in office sedatives?
Apr 7, 2015
Funny you mentioned valium because a nurse quite awhile back said she didn't know why they didn't give me valium but I had forgot the name until you mentioned it on here. Now I know what I can ask for thanks to you mentioning it and I will be calling tomorrow to see about it.
I don't have to worry about a driver as my boyfriend is taking me in.
They do have nitrous but last time I was there they gave me oxygen then the nitrous to see if I would relax but my BP was 10 points too high so they wouldn't do anything. I couldn't seem to be able to relax as much as usual but I also had a flare up with the abscess not long after and had to take antibiotics. When they gave me a IV antibiotic in the hospital my BP dropped 35 or more points and I told them my BP always goes up with an abscess but as soon as the tooth is out it goes back down and they said that's normal for an abscess to do that. The antibiotic made my BP drop also.
Besides being just flat out nervous about dental things I have PTSD also so I am very jumpy anyway and can have panic attacks in different situations. But I am going to call and ask about the valium and hopefully that will be just what I need. Thank-you for the information!

My husband won't go at all. Getting him to brush his teeth is a nightmare. I figure he's well on his way to dentures. Nothing I can do helps. Of course, now we're both unemployed so dentistry unless absolutely necessary, falls to the bottom of the list. Hubby is a wimp. Anything blood related ie injections, he's out of there. I look after the cat at the vet, kill the spiders and anything else. The only thing I won't do is prick him for his diabetes strips. This of course, doesn't help the doctor visits. Apologies as I think I hijacked the thread! *sneaks away silently*
