Beautiful fountain but would be better if water were running in it. Seems like everyone is trying to conserve water now.

Excellent Oscar Wilde quote and something we need to remember when mistakes seem to be overtaking our lives! Blessings, Elijah!

You are absolutely right about the importance of instilling values when a child is very young. The parent or caretaker needs to model these behaviors, also, to make the lessons believable to the child.

You can conserve water in a fountain and still run it. You only have to have the water go up the same pipe that it flows from. Our baptismal font at church has water coming our of the middle and it just drains to run again. I've heard of other fountains doing it. I think they devised that way so you could do both - run and conserve water at the same time. Blessings Nancy

There is a wonderful fountain in a nearby town. It is like the head of a dandelion head that has gone to seed - really beautiful.

Beautiful - but don't think I would like to look after it.

"Today is life--the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto."
– Dale Carnegie
"When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us."
– Alexander Graham Bell

"An unexamined life is not worth living."
– Socrates

Good night and God bless all of you. Hugs.

What a twit I am being this morning!! Going to be a rough day. Really tired from going to Bend yesterday and the thunderstorms are making my pain worse as they pass through. That sentence should have read " in exchange for owning that garden" I need to learn to proof read more. Hope no fires get started. Be safe all.

GREAT quotes, aussie! The Alexander Bell quote reminds me of a paraphrase of it, "God never closes a door without leaving a window open." Blessings, aussie!
