Never heard of cork trees. Where are these trees grown?

I believe most of them grow in Spain and Portugal. The bark is used for wine corks.

Duh! I never gave it any thought, but if I had, I might have guessed that cork comes from the sea--like sponges. Ha ha ha ha ha!
