Oh! I didn't recognize them and didn't connect them with the apples. I feel silly now, as my son owned a donut shop for a number of years and I loved the fritters. They looked a lot different.

Yeah - Hubby got me an apple fritter one day and it looked more like a donut. I ordered potato pancakes in one and I could tell that they didn't know what they were doing.

I love potato pancakes with apple sauce...of course. Now you're making me want some! lol
I went to Johnny Appleseed Restaurant in New Market Va. and they made the best apple fritters ever. It was the first time I ever had them. They were given before your meal as a compliment. I could make a meal out of them but too many calories.

"Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it." ~ Charles R. Swindoll
