New York city really lights up at night. It looks great. It would be great if my wife and I went there for a trip. Maybe some day we will be able to go there.

My sister-in-law lived for many years on 72nd street near Lenox Hospital. She worked for Goldman Sacks and made a very good salary but her apartment was dark and old and small. She preferred to spend her money on entertainment like Broadway shows rather than on rent. I admire her ability to succeed on her own.
My other sister-in-law who has heart trouble fell two months ago and now she's in a nursing home. Please pray for her to avoid catching the virus. It will certainly kill her. She's in her 90's.
Thank you.
Wishing you a healthy, safe day.

Tough one for your SIL, pixi - I'll pray for her continued health.

Thanks aknan. I finally was able to talk to her. She's in good spirits and says she doesn't worry about the virus. She went thru the 14 day quarantine when she was in rehab for her fall. That was the worst for her. She's happy that in this place she's allowed to go outside on the grounds. Even if she isn't worried about the virus I'm sure her family will be worried for her. She has seven children six of which are still alive. Her daughter was going to move from CA to here to live with her in her apt. but her two sons who already live here insisted she go into a nursing home. Of course the daughter is angry.

Families can be difficult to deal with, pixi. She won't have to stay in the nursing home, will she? Hopefully, she could go back to her apartment & her daughter can move in as a caregiver/companion. Praying for all of you.

It seems to be a permanent situation, but I can't get clear answers. I was told the apartment would be given up because the sons who live nearby insisted she stop living in it and go into an assisted care/nursing home facility. I don't know if the daughter can put a stop on it. Perhaps she will be able to move east quickly into the apartment before it is let go so there will be a possibility of the choice to leave the facility, but from what I could get from the conversation with my in-law it seems she thinks she has an option while what I heard from my other sister-in-law is that the apartment will be out.

Oh, yikes! It's going to take a while for my eyes to uncross after that one!

Nice, fancy scene of New York. Wouldn't care to live there, however.

Nice place to visit or to live near. Wouldn't want to live in a big city.

I agree. I've been to NYC, stayed about a block from ground zero. You had to look almost straight up to see the sky and the buildings formed canyons the wind just whipped through. At least the people we met were friendly.

Nice view of New York. I have only been there once and that was 11 months after 9/11. That was pretty traumatic. Have a lovely day and blessings to all.
