Would have loved to experience a vacation in Italy and to take a boat ride on the canal. Most of my vacations took place in the U.S.

Very pretty water. Very many crowded buildings. Couldn't live there. Need some space. Would be nice to have a boat but I am 100 miles from ocean and not much water of any size close.

We are SO happy that Venice has now prohibited cruise ships from approaching the Grand Canal. And now tourists have to apply to get to be able to go into Venice. The numbers of previous tourists was overwhelming and the behaviour of man was appalling.
