We had so many beautiful birds come to our feeders when we lived in Arkansas! Especialy loved the cardinals. When Mom filled our bird feeders, she's whistle a song. The bluejays preferred, truly! the Blue Danube Waltz! I do not lie.
It was with a smile that I read all the comments loving blue jays. Unfortunately, we don't - they bully other birds away from our feeders, will rob eggs of other birds and, sometimes nestlings. And their screech is raucous. :\

It's been ages since I've seen a blue jay any where.
No more finches, no more blue jays, no cardinals, no more finches either. Lost lots of them due to that bird flu a few years back. Very sad indeed.
