Strawberries - there is a farm not far from here, it is always interesting seeing them grow as you pass by. Potted up a couple of sun jewels today - they are just so easy care and easy to propagate.

Nothing to do with strawberries, but like the quote -

"A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man."
Lana Turner

"Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes." Jim Carrey

"I've exercised with women so thin that buzzards followed them to their cars." Erma Bombeck

Sigh - don't think I will ever have that problem lol.

Good night dear friends - take care and God bless. Hugs.

I have my own take on a successful man.
He finds a woman who is willing to live within their means and not complain.

Thanks C4J for the spring/summer puzzles that you have given us the last few days. Helps me look forward to spring. We are supposed to get 6 to 8 inches of snow today! I am tired of winter!

Funny that I know the whole time that these were strawberry plants! My dad had a lot that grew in the yard. Fun to eat them while picking them!

Love them. Haven't had much success growing them because the snails love them too. Don't like to use the pesticide that kills them. Where I was at the time there were so many snails I had no hope of keeping up with them. Buy them from the store now where I don't know what they use. Can't afford them often though. God bless you all and may your gardens grow a healthy love of God.

Left over coffee grounds spread around the strawberry plants will stop they snails and slugs, they don't like to go over the grounds. Hugs.

We tend to put sawdust around plants we don't want to share with the snails, also read the other day that crushed eggshell are also good as the snail don't like to get them in their shells.Icing sugar on strawberries left to sit for a while is also yummy.Hi team great jigsaw once again maybe your into strawberries too//////

I found that the ground coffee works a treat, also the egg shells but I prefer the ground coffee and if you have a cafe near by they are always willing to give you there grains after using them, good luck with your strawberries.

Young strawberry plants, beautiful green leaves looking very healthy and ready to produce fruit. I was looking at strawberry plants yesterday, just out of noseyness, they were not healthy, the leaves looked lank and uncared for--cruel.

May you blossom and be fruitful today and always in the love of our wonderful God.

I think that they will stay FRUITFUL if they are British or American or from a country going into spring/summer

I also love the reminder to be fruitful today. We hear that wish often but do we think about the "blossom" part? Young spirits must blossom before they bear fruit. Allow God to fertilize and prune as He thinks necessary to produce beautiful blossoms that will bear much fruit.

And how we all hate the pruning part.

Happy weekend all. Not so cold today. May get near 50 but it's rainy-ish. Good enough for me.
I once put a piece of strawberry in my flower bed and I've been weeding them out ever since. No berries large enough to eat but plenty of plants. Good source of vitamin C for those of us whose stomach can no longer stand oj.
I used to make strawberry shortcake cupcakes with those little pound cake cups. Cut the berries up to fill the depression, load on sweetened condensed milk and top with whipped cream. Yum yum.
