It's 40, wet and chilly. Snow in the mountains. Down on the plains, it is snowing but not sticking, It is melting, which is needed as we have had 58 days of no rain.

Yeah I'd like to know as well. Just dealt with hurricane Irma - the eye hit us. 4 days without any communication except cell phone. Had elec. and water and both of those went out for abit. All of the business are effected too - the damage is quite severe.

Trouble with sand is that you get...sandy. Then when you go in the ocean to rinse off the sand you get sticky. I'll take the mountains any day. :)

Me too. I just got back from PA last Friday and still have no ambition to do anything. I am behind in my school work, house needs a good cleaning, I have things I want to do outside, and put up my fall decorations. I really need to get some energy!!

Not sure how much beach, if any, is left for kids to play in in Florida. Quite a hurricane. West coast beaches will probably be better. Not sure about East coast. Lots of distruction on the East Coast.

I don't feel like doing this one because I just finished cleaning out m grandson's sand pool-box. This entailed picking out leaves, hand shoveling out the sand into a separate wading pool, removing the original pool from its position to dry, forking drain holes into underlying oil, and hand shoveling the sand back into the play area (which is a little over a square yard), evening the sand with a garden rake, placing the second wading pool where it could dry, cleaning off my tools and putting them away. The whole process took a good portion of time out of my morning. So, no sand puzzles for me today, thank you!

I did a random instead. This puzzle didn't appeal to me but for no special reason. Your sandbox efforts remind me of the process I do each spring with our ponds--scooping off leaves and detritus;draining;scrubbing;refilling. It takes all afternoon and sometimes stretches into the next day. Ugh. Hate it but love the ponds. Will have to drain the rain barrels and turn them over soon.
