Does any one else see the touch of red in this pic? Do you think it could be a person? Let's see what you all think???

Maybe a trail marker

It's a pole--top half red bottom half navy blue. The other red area isn't a pole. I can't tell whether it's attached to the black triangle above it or if that's part of the trees.

I see it. I agree they are probably trail markers.

I used the mouse zoom and brought it close the one on the left looks like a red pole or streak the one down to the left looks like a snow mobile just guessing. Click on options and turn on the mouse zoom and you have to have a wheel and you zoom with the mouse wheel.

Thanks Katy, for the hint about the mouse zoom. Didn't know that! I think the red on the left is a red pole signaling the location of the ski hut (red) to the right. What do you think?

By the way, I think you're right about the snow mobile

I love doing this. It's amazing what detail you see. I zoomed in on a cabin once and could actually make out a person in one window. Digital pictures amaze me. You could never get that kind of distance detail in the "old days"

I tried but not sure what the red is. One seems like some kind of pole and the other?

Ginny my very first picture was with the hold box Kodak do you remember it?? Just a black box with a circular lens in front and a small lever on that side that was what you used to take the picture that goes back to the 40's and 50's longggggggg time ago lol.....

Absolutely! My Dad worked for Eastman Kodak (sad, what's happened to it today). I remember the"Brownie" camera as you describes it and the viewfinder was on the top. You lifted a little door to see it. I also remember how hideous the first polaroid pics were, and also the early color shots. But the trusted Brownie took very nice Bl & White pictures. Ahh, nostalgia!

Beautiful!!! Would love to have that sort of scenery right around me at the moment, melting in the heat. I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas especially all those responsible at C4J for the lovely pictures they present each day. May the new year be a blessed and peaceful one for each and everyone of you. Those who post on here are like an extended family and I always enjoy reading your comments. Take care and keep posting. :)

Wow, that's a chilly scene (but lovely). Funny because here in New Zealand we've just started the summer - though it doesn't usually get really hot until after Christmas - when everyone starts work again!! So, Aussiesapphire, we're not quite melting here yet :-)). Hope you have a pool handy!

No pool but live on an island, so the ocean is pretty handy. Cheers Jiggler.

Hear, Hear! I too enjoy the posts. Some days I really have a good laugh. I find myself looking forward to my puzzle time and reading the comments! Sorry about the heat, hear where I live it gets bitter cold and we get lots of wind so with the wind and the cold we have had wind chills to 30 below zero! This winter and last winter haven't been as cold though and we lack snow! We usually have tons of it right now! I also wish everyone a happy holiday season and a bright and blessed new year! And happy puzzeling!

This is the nicest bunch of people. So many other blogs are full of folks who are so angry and vindictive. God bless you all and the folks at C4J.
Thank you for a wonderful site.

An island - wow, that would be so cool! How big is it?
aussiesapphire
Dec 11, 2012
Not real big, mostly unpopulated national parks, and we have a population cap of 20, 000. But we have a big shopping centre and not much need to go off the island which is attached to the mainland by a bridge. Beautiful place to live.
