Never married so don't have any of these! I wear my mothers engagement ring from my father. Not too easy a puzzle to do.

My wedding and engagement ring were stolen along with my luggage on a visit to NYC. I have just a plain gold band now. My husband is on his 3rd wedding band. I think the first was stolen by the woman who rented us our first house. The second one he lost on one of our trips. None of his are plain. Have tried to find the one that matches what I had when we got married but apparently the style is no longer made..

We both have wedding bands, but hubby can't get his on & I don't wear my all the time, just for special times had to have it cut off when I gained weight, but I can get it on again since I lost all the extra weight.

Glad you got the weight off, CatLady. I weigh what I did in my twenties. Digestive trouble keeps me from eating much...at least I have never had to get my wedding band removed.

It's most interesting they use a very small saw to cut thru it, then can put it together with a small seam in the back of it then smooth it back and you can't even see were it was. My engagement ring was one my hubby had my dad made for him, it's an Alexandrite which is my birthstone.
I don't wear mine all the time almost lost one stone down the drain & had to take it all part.
I have lots of earring, pins, & necklaces that my dad did for my mom & me, after her death all her jewelry was give to me. Hubby can't get his one his hand that finger doesn't he can't bend that fingers and barely move that hand.

Sorry hubby has such bad arthritis.
It's awesome to have jewelry that's unique and made especially for you. I inherited a few pieces over the years but mostly just keep them in a safe place. I am not comfortable wearing expensive stuff.

Wow. That's so sad--not just for him but for you also because you have to help him. That can't be easy.

He does lots of things that he can do...especially places that he can get the elec. carts & he still can drive also he has riding lawn mover that he can get around the yard & mow most of it. Stairs are hard, long trips, rain (it feels hot to him), snow & ice, any places that don't have carts. Likes to watch TV especially sports or movies on it. He also helps w/some things in the house along that he can sit down when he get tired.

Happy Valentines to those of you who have someone special to share it with - thinkin of you Aknan and Richard.

"My girlfriend has only one drawback. She's not with me." unknown

Valentine's Day is for couples. All singles can enjoy themselves for rest of 364 days of the year.

Please remember that Valentine's Day is a polite reminder that Christmas decorations must go down!

Take care and God bless. Hugs.

Aussie, you sweetheart! It's 37 years today, not too bad for a 3rd and 4th marriage. I guess we practiced until we got it right! No big plans for today, but will have a nice dinner out on Friday. In honor of the day, I'm wearing sparkly red nail polish this week - and my Dearly Beloved noticed it!

Love the "Christmas decorations must go down" bit. Our neighbors finally took their tree down yesterday.

Again congratulations to all the brides and grooms to be. My marriage lasted 45 years and would have been a lot longer if cancer had not taken from me in 2005
