Such a wonderful tradition of coloring Easter eggs and hiding them for the children. Such a lovely puzzle.

Thank you team for this one, when I was younger we used to prick the eggs when they were raw and blow out the inside, and when the inner of the was all out, we used to fill them with choclate, let the chocolate set, and then we would give them to the little ones at Easter time.A big thank you for the memories.

It's new to me about water colouring eggs.

WE also used to colour the eggs, the younger end used to think this was great, but Ithink more of the paint went on the children doing the painting, than the eggs themselves.

In the 70's I bought a painted Easter egg that was done by one of the faithful elderly Russian immigrants in one of our churches in the Triple Cities in Southern NY. What a work of art! I love the traditional arts of the many cultures that influenced the culture of America.

I had never thought about using watercolors for Easter eggs. Growing up, we always used the Haas egg coloring kits that required white vinegar. I haven't colored eggs in quite a few years.

I wonder how you use watercolors to dye eggs. I'll have to Google it.

I've never used paint on eggs. We always got the kits and didp-died them. I used to love finding the eggs on Easter morning. My parents always made the holidays fun.
I carried on the tradition with my son but he didn't enjoy it for it's own sake. I had to take quarters to the eggs before it interested him.
Wishing you an Easter that brings new and happy insights.

I just finished filling all the plastic eggs with coins for the grandkids' egg hunt tomorrow! Their parents won't let me give them any candy...party poopers! All they ever get is 2 jellybeans for going potty! But I did make a Lemon Angel Cake (a recipe I got from Aussie, I think! ) so they'll get a sample of something sugary anyway!

Tomorrow will be such a wonderful day! Church service in the morning and the whole family in the afternoon! I am blessed! Everyone have a very blessed Resurrection Day! He is risen!!
