I have a love/hate relationship with this clock! lol I think it would look very stately in the right place, however, I also think it's very gaudish looking.

Collecting clocks is very time-consuming.

But you have time on your hands!

I have a collection of old antique clocks spread throughout the house, and everyone of them reads a different time. I'd like to reset them all, but I never seem to have "the time." lol!

It must be fun to hear them going off one after the other. If they were all on time they'd strike at one time and make an awful racket. See. There's an up side to anything.

Well, that would be really cool, but none of them are working right now! I used to wind up or reset clocks all the time, but I can't do it anymore. Hubby hated all the chiming, so he let them all run down. Even the battery-run clocks, even though they don't make any noise, have run out of batteries. If it weren't for my computer and my phone I'd never know what time it is!

Your husband and mine must have gone to the same school. When we visited my aunt it was like living in a cuckoo clock. Something was constantly chirping, buzzing, ringing or cuckcooing. And that would set her dog barking.
Quite a circus. The only clocks we have are none chiming electric ones and I can hear them tic when it's quiet.

Non-chiming

You are right, pixipixil. There is an upside to most everything. The down that keeps an eider duck warm is used later in comforters and coats that keep us warm.

I just did it so I could watch your reaction.

That strikes me as a poor attempt to chime in on my remark. If really don't, I'll wait awhile for the pendulum of your opinion to swing the other waty.

If you really don't, I'll...the other way.
Perhaps you meant you might agree but only for a second...or on second thought you agree.

I am alarmed the way this conversation is going. When I am in this mode of thought, if I go out driving in my car, I could get a tick-et, So Let's toc, some more.

I see the gears in your head keep spinning. Hope they don't take too much of a toll.

You go into such minute details, pixipixil. If this clock were hours, we would have a hard time shipping it back and forth between the time-zones.

You won't steer me wrong, will you? Even so I won't be cowed. I have long range plans.

Is the long range so you can feed your steers?

JAMP124, you were misinformed, I don't have time on my hands - just on 1 wrist, and I have to watch where I put it.

Not if they're bum ones. I've avoided them
for ages. It looks like I'll have to beef up my efforts to cull them out. I've herd some have developed a canny avility to slip through our d-fences.

Thank you all so much. I got in touch with my one professor and he told me not worry about the tests as the biggest part of this class will be based on some of the papers we have to write. I should be okay with that. Have a blessed Thanksgiving and God bless you all.
