Beautiful creatures - not quite white as we are led to believe, but a pale cream colour.

"Always respect Mother Nature. Especially when she weighs 400 pounds and is guarding her baby." James Rollins

"Be cautious of bears at all times, even when being mauled by a tiger." Craig Benzine

Sorry folks, but the last one appealed to my strange sense of humour lol.

God bless and take care. Hugs.

Polar bears actually have black skin and their hair is clear. The whiteness comes from reflection of snow and light. I know some people may question when they are not surrounded by snow they still appear mostly white? I don't know the answer to that.

I've heard and read that a polar bear's fur can be slightly different colors depending on its exposure to different qualities of water, food, etc. We had one at our local zoo which had too much sulphur in the zoo water; our polar bear turned a light shade of green from the water.

Hi talent - very interesting information - what a great site this is, learning all the time. Thank you for that talent. Hugs. As for the rest of you, I am so pleased that your sense of humour is similar to mine. Bear hugs to you all.

I love the first quote, Aussie.

The second one? Well, I suppose if you're being mauled by a tiger, a bear would be your least concern!

Have a great day!

If I were being mauled by a tiger I'd be calling the bear to come over and attack the tiger.

Had a great birthday today! Arm surgery yesterday left me with a giant, rubbery, no-feeling, gummy worm attached to my shoulder and I couldn't control it. It was fun playing with it, but it was weird! I woke up this morning with my fingers waving at me and my arm moving like it was supposed to! Happy Birthday to Me!! As the nerve block wore off, it has gotten a little achy, but manageable. Now I can't wait to have the other arm worked on, but I have to wait at least 6 weeks. Now we'll have to pay our deductible again at the beginning of the year, but I guess it's worth it to be able to use my arms and hands without pain.

Two weeks till Christmas! Relax and enjoy the season of our Lord's birth!

Thank you Pixi & Seaview! It was quiet birthday, but my husband stayed home and waited on me all day! The actual arm surgery was on Wed. and I got to go home right afterward so I was home for my birthday. The arm is healing nicely...just bruising that's still rather sore. Stitches come out next week. Just in time to get Christmas packages wrapped for grandkids!

Dbnc2 I am at the end of taking the antibiotic finally & its a good thing cause I am so sleepy that I am having a hard time keeping on schedule the past couple days. It said it may make you drowsy & when it says that it has the affect of knocking me out. I wont drive till I am totally done with these.
I haven't been up to get the 2nd IV yet either as that knocks me out too so I have to wait till I can get a ride. I am so far out of town which makes it harder.
I sure hope my energy comes back when I am done with these pills. I am also probably double sleepy because of having seasonal affective disorder & December has always been my worst month for that so between that & medication I feel like a bear in hibernation lately!
I think this tooth has been my worst one as it ended up taking way longer for the swelling to go down in my mouth then usual & I have a feeling this wont be the last of it either.
I have been having to take so many naps its unbelievable. I just want to sleep, sleep & sleep.

They look like they need a bath. I'm waiting to hear if anyone can tell me how long you can keep caramel apples in the refrigerator. I am giving them for Christmas and I'm hoping they'll be nice by then. They are made from Granny Smith apples.
Please send me a note if you have any idea.

God bless you all.

Jingles did you see the posted comments yet from yesterdays puzzle? I looked it up & it said only 3 days if there is a gap where your stick enters but if you seal all around the sticks entry point with candy, caramel or chocolate then 2 weeks & saw up to 2 1/2 weeks. The trick is to prevent as much oxygen getting to the middle of the apple as you can. There were some other posts also from other people. Somehow you missed my yesterdays post & the others too. Hope this helps!

Jingles I meant to say the trick is to prevent as much oxygen getting to the inside of the apple as you can.
