The Netherlands at tulip time was one of my best trips. It was part of a river cruise.

Sounds like you've had lots of travel experiences, JAMP. Were you in Europe often or long?

I love to travel. but have slowed down a bit. My former pastor and his wife organized trips and I went on most of them. They were three weeks and at the end of three weeks everyone was asking, "Where to next? " "Where do you want to go? "
I married a man who had the same travel bug and we began to organize trips for friends. "We're going to _______ would you like to come? A lot of work, but fun.

So glad you both enjoyed the group trips. We've tried them but prefer to travel with "just us." We can make our own schedule and plan the tours we especially want to take.

The bare spot in the picture reminds me of a local tulip farmer. He had acres and acres of tulips and then one day an entire herd of Roosevelt elk crossed the freeway and ate up his fields. He could do nothing about it. I don't know which was more wonderful, the field of flowers, or the herd of elk..

Beautiful tulips. "Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." Marcel Proust "I believe if you keep your faith, you keep your trust, you keep the right attitude, if you're grateful, you'll see God open up new doors." Joel Osteen Good night dear friends, I am grateful for every one of you. Hugs.

I am so glad to see you back, aussie. I was so afraid we would never hear from you again. I've been re-thinking making such good friends online. If one of us were to die, we would never know what happened. They would just be gone and we would be hanging on hoping they would post again. Having experienced so much loss already this year, It is a scary prospect. God bless you aussie. I missed you.

Dear nlb, I too have thought of that and have made arrangements with my husband to put a message on here should anything happen to me. But I do plan on being around for a while yet lol. So many on here have become dear friends including yourself. God bless you and hugs.

I think I need to do that too, to have my son or daughter let my friends on a couple of groups know if I can no longer post. I know many of us pray for each other. Won't heaven be great? I will enjoy meeting many cyber-friends there.

Nlbuchanan, I agree! What happened to toadalove and Santa Claus? I haven't seen any posts from either of them in ages. But I will not stop writing or making friends on the puzzle page. I enjoy it too much. Grief and death are a part of life. I hope Aussie and hubby are doing better. Hope everyone has a great week.

I miss toadalove and came across her posts on other puzzles. She doesn't say much and doesn't seem as happy. I wrote her on those puzzles and she came back posting for a short while then stopped again. I wonder if one of us upset her somehow.

Pixi, I don't think it was one of us; I think toadalove has health problems and just isn't able to post right now.

I'm sorry to hear that. I got such a kick out of her multiple postings about loving a puzzle and then still loving it. She had such a bright and cheerful personality. If you contact her tell her I miss her and hope she's better soon.

They're one of my favorites too. My dad would plant about a dozen of them around the front yard light pole - usually red tulips, but occasionally mix them up.
