Beautiful, but not what it was a tribute to. We need to have peace in this world, not hatred!

I love all the jigsaw puzzles and much of my time is spent on them.

Hard to believe 14 years have gone by. I live in the Boston area and the city was being evacuated. I remember seeing a long line of traffic pouring out of the city from a view across the beach. It still gives me chills today. May all those directly affected somehow find some peace in their lives now.

I grew up in Brockton, MA but have lived in the midwest for eons. I cannot imagine what it was like, living on the coast and watching people evacuate.

I moved into my present home about four days before this terrible tragedy and it will ever be etched on my mind. God bless all those affected and grant you peace. Hugs.

Happy Birthday Aussie! In 10 days I will be 74--didn't we just have our birthdays last week. LOL
Our daughter worked on the New Jersey side and called us in terror at 6 in the morning on 9/11. I have never cried as much for so long as I did that week. She saw our fighter jets, by the way, and did not realize they were American. She was crouched by a car in a parking lot when she called us thinking they were enemy fighter jets. We turned on the TV and were able to tell her what was really happening minute by minute..I think that terrible day has seared into our minds in such a way that we remember even little details that we might normally not recall.
Hope you had a most happy day, special lady.
Hugs

Hi Justine, it certainly feels like the birthday was only just recently lol and I had a perfect day, lots of love. I think it was so good this year that I finally accepted the fact that my daughter would not contact me as was my anticipant these past years. And so I didn't mope around all day thinking she would call. So was able to relax and enjoy all the love poured out on me. God bless you and take care. Hugs. I have to get a new computer as my other one bit the dust and will never return lol. Seeing about it tomorrow and when I get the new one I will be able to do the puzzles again. Hugs again :)

Aussie, I have had the same with my one child.I just decided last year that he was not going to change and I would not hear from him. It is so sad that so many of us in our 60's and 70's seem to have a child that is that way. The awful thing is not knowing what we have done or not done to be treated in this manner. In my case he feels very entitled and when we said no over a request, he decided we were awful parents. He is very well known and all his best friends are up there, if you know what I mean. Once he was in magazines and on youtube and so on it was if we were poor kin folk. I will hope and pray our two children will see the light someday. Just know you are not alone.
I had to get a new computer four months ago. I have windows 8 but I still have my desktop set in classic mode. The big tile icons kind of got to me. Am I showing my age? lol. Hope you like your new computer.
Hugs.

Debbie I wrote a song for those hurting from disasters. I wrote after 9-11 but only finished it a year ago just before my son died so now I feel I have a right to say "I know. I hurt too." Some day I may post it on youtube as I hope it will help us all to bear up.

Okay. I'm trying to use the good weather to paint and of course the gardening ties me up but once October comes I'll get onto it.
Thanks debbie.
