To this day, when I see a pretty, petite tea cup with little roses on it, I think of my mom, and she's been gone for 21 years. Sweet memories. When I see a butterfly or teacup like this one, I always say "hi mom."

That is a very pretty tea cup. My Dad and I have 4 o'clock tea everyday...but the best place I have ever been for a proper English tea is Fortnum & Mason in London.

Trynfindit, we should get together for tea, we can't be far apart. I'm in sort of ne Fla. I used to drink Red Rose tea a lot, with milk and sugar. Haven't bought it for years. I miss my bestest tea drinking buddy who got me started on it. :) Everybody I know drinks iced tea or hot coffee.

Hi Trynfindit and Manatee, I'm just north of the Mermaids! Greetings from the Mermaids! Of "Leaking...Weeki" So much rain lately, really a downpour. I don't know how the manatees and the mermaids can even breath in all this water. I woke up with webbed feet this morning! :))))))

We found a leak from the roof yesterday. I saw a spot on the ceiling, went to test it to see if it was wet. Got hubby to go up into the attic to check it out, it's a small drip from the roof. Got to get that fixed soon. So much rain this morning. It's starting to dry out for this afternoon. :) Have a great day. :)

I hope there's a bucket up there to catch the drips. The rain comes back every day now. Thankful for a solid roof and the trees just got trimmed to keep the branches from falling on us. You have a great day too tomandray. :)

Hi manatee, Yes we put up a drip pan to catch the rain. And someone came in today to do an assessment. Got it covered. :) All our trees were trimmed in April. Enjoy your evening. :)

Nothing like sipping a nice hot cup of tea out of a fine china cup. Our favorite tea is "King Cole".

Finishing breakfast--tea, pudding and ice cream with medication and cherries. My husband usually finishes b4 me and leaves the table so I take the rest of breakfast in my room and fire up the jigsaws. This set up really makes me feel I'm eating with friends.
Wishing you all good company today.

High tea is quite fashionable over here at the moment - haven't had one, but they look delicious.

"Under certain circumstances there are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea." Henry James

"Weekends are sacred for me. They're the perfect time to relax and spend time with family and friends." Marcus Samuelsson

Relax and enjoy life, it is all too short. God bless you all. Hugs.

You are so right aussie. Jake's girlfriend from past is coming to Virginia from Pennsylvania to give me her necklace she had made with his ashes in it. She is in a new relationship and he is Jake's best friend. They were all very close especially Kelci.Jake and Kelci dated for a few years before she could no longer tolerate his drinking and drug abuse. She also noticed that his mental disorders were getting more severe. I love that girl like my own daughter, even more so, I hate to say. I am putting the necklace up for his little girl when she gets old enough to understand about her daddy. She is only 6 so I will have the necklace for 12 years. Every time I look at t, it will be a reminder of what is missing in my life. And yes, life is too short so I appreciate every day I wake up and thank God for what I have and mourn for what I have lost.

Thank you so much. The necklace is beautiful. It is black onyx cross with silver edging. It has Jake's birthday and the date he passed away.
