Fun the second time around. Better time too! Would like to see how these pots work in person, in Morocco. Interesting concept. How spoiled we are here..our slow cookers are electric. Hah.

Good afternoon, are you getting snow?, we just can't get the house warm today, hands are cold, but not sure I can work my mouse with them on!

Yes we are getting snow now. It's blowing and very cold. My feet are cold and I have two pair of socks on and fuzzy slippers. We are to get down to 10 tonight and only 18 of high tomorrow. It would be tough for me to do computer with gloves on. My hands aren't cold. This is going to be a tough January and February weather wise I think. My neighbor just came home and said the roads are very slick and will get worse as the temp keeps dropping. I'm in for the next couple of days.

Finally wrapped my hands around hot mug of coffee and got them warm. Stay warm, we were at 16 this morning, but went up to 40 finally.

No there is nothing to it you just put everything in the pot and set it in the burner, and let it cook slowly.

What do you usually cook in it, also does it have a special burner.

HockeyFan, Catlady, they are used to make stews, particularly with cheaper meats, that are usually tougher. Any recipe that calls for tajine can be made in a slow cooker as well. The shape of the lid promotes self basting, it needs a minimal amount of water, a necessary thing in Saharan Africa. The lower part traditionally was placed into the hot coals. In the modern kitchens they can be used in the oven or on the stove, but always on lowest heat possible.
