Had those yesterday at our church dinner but the woman added nuts and dried cranberries. It was delicious. I made her a palm cross. Finally, I got my bluebird, 'sialia', our state bird. She is now busy building her nest, while her mate watches, some things never change.
I love sweet potato casserole...but I don't like marshmallow's on top. I make a pecan/brown sugar topping to put on before baking. Our family loves it!!!!! Nice puzzle...now I'm hungry!
No one in my family ever liked the standard sweet potatoes with marshmallows. I finally found a recipe we all like: Layer 4 sliced swt potatoes, 2 tart apples (sliced into rings), and 1/2 C craisins (dried cranberries) in buttered dish. Sprinkle with mixture of 1/2 C Brown sugar, 1/2 t cinnamon, 3T butter. cover with foil & bake 30 min at 450 degrees.
I am slow too but enjoy it very much
