Aussie, I am so sorry you are going through this. I have seen my mother go through this in all of her five marriages and through her experience and currently my own; I know that it is painful. I am praying that God will give comfort and that you will find peace. Please I want to keep my marital problems to myself at the moment.

Thank you all for your prayers, I feel much better today. Briefly, when my husband suddenly walked out almost 18 months ago, without warning, I suspected that he had gone back to the USA where he had not lived for 45 years, to move in with another woman and yesterday, though not searching for proof, I got it. Deep down I had hoped that he would get over whatever it was he left for, and we had not even had an argument in our three years of what I considered to be a perfect marriage, that he would come back and our marriage would be restored. I have to accept now that this was not part of God's plan for my life. Now that I know for sure, I can close that door and get on with my life.

Thank you again for all your prayers and support. Loving hugs.

So sorry, Aussie. I know several women who have gone through that sort of thing but not as drastically as you.
My aunt thought her marriage was fine and one day got a phone call from the other woman's husband. She didn't believe it at first but it turned out her husband had been having an affair with this woman through two other marriages. She had a hard time with the divorce as he got violent and she had to maintain residence with him until the divorce went through. He dragged her across the lawn by her hair and she was nearing 60 at the time.
This is just to give you something to be thankful for. Better that he left than that anyway, right?

It doesn't mean I don't think you have much to be sad about, Aussie. I don't mean that at all. My husband went to a lawyer to make out a will and I knew about it. In having it finalized he left a draft around the house which I looked at and found another woman's name in place of mine as his wife. So I do know how that can feel. That day was a nightmare until the lawyer straightened the thing out. She had used the same form for other clients and forgot to change the name.

I can relate to your feelings, my first husband sent me roses, took me out for dinner & dancing for our 9th anniversary. When we got home late that night he informed me he was moving out and getting a divorce and would be getting married to another woman shortly. Things have been much better since then, I meet my current husband after moving and starting out again; we have been together now for almost 45 years and still enjoying being with each other. Know you will find your way thru this with God's help.

Dearest Aussie, may the good Lord give you strength to move on. I am presently seeking a divorce after 16yrs. I did all I could do to make it work. There's no love left. We've grown so far apart. I'm very depressed for a while now. Some days I barely leave my bedroom. I feel safe here. To all those who are hurting in any way, may the one who's hands our lives are in bring some comfort to our souls! Love you Aussie.

Sad in one way, Aussie, as there appears to be a definite end to the relationship. However, the relationship seems to have caused much pain for you since your hubby left. Now you can give the pain to Jesus and realize that you are a wonderful, capable woman who can survive with the Lord's help. You seem like a neat person, and he sounds like a creep.

Thank you retirenow, I appreciate your kind words. He has some very deep mental issues from childhood that he has not dealt with and suffers from depression. He needs our prayers too. Take care and God bless. Hugs.

Aussie, that you can be so charitable to someone who has hurt you so much is almost unbelievable. That's the true meaning of Christian forgiveness. Plus, it's good for you, too. Double blessings.

It won't be long until Spring! About another month but it's been a bit spring-like where I live. We're supposed to get severe spring storms tonight ahead of a cold front back into Winter for a few days.

Today it is supposed to reach 75 degrees in Ohio. That will make it the warmest day in February for as long as they have kept records. It has been a very unusual winter here. This is when we have our worst snow storms. I think we have had a total of 4 inches of snow all winter.

Missouri, also, has had a very mild winter. I grew up near Boston and I recall a winter around 1945 when we had over 140 in. of snow!

Gorgeous day in upstate NY today. So warm I didn't need a jacket. Hurrying to cage all my flower beds before the cold is back. The Canada geese are back and I heard a redwing blackbird. When I lived in the Catskills and heard that bird I knew winter was over.

Marine5153 ---- The very snowy winter you mentioned might have been 1948 --- I remember all the snows came on the weekend and we spent Sundays shoveling. The other memorable Boston area snow was The Blizzard of 78. We didn't have school for 2 weeks. There was no place to put the snow --- had to be trucked to parks.
