These, hopefully, look like paper straws. Love the stripes and colors.

Lickemaid came in similar straws in the late 50's and 60's. Only about 5 colors, though.

I remember straws like this back in the 1960's, but, they seemed to fall apart - they seemed to be made of a type of paper. I don't remember them being in all these colors - I remember them often being blue and white, but, I'm no longer sure.

Of course, drink sizes were much smaller then. One drive-in restaurant I remember, the drinks were probably 6 ounces, which was considered a serving size for a soft drink (1/2 a can), now, I think a 12 ounce can is a serving size, although at one time, it was probably 8 ounces when soda came in 16 ounce glass bottles. In some parts of America, there was Double Cola, I think was the first to be sold in a larger bottle (2 servings) Those paper straws would not hold up with today's mega-sized drinks.

And that was why kids were normal sized and not a large percentage of adults were much overweight, either. Also, Monsanto hadn't reengineered our food supply, either.

Took forever to get down to the last 10 easy pieces. No matter how hard a puzzle is, the last ten pieces are the easiest of all. Seems to be that way with all puzzles!!!

Because there are many fewer pieces to pick from. This was a pretty daunting puzzle for me, as the colors and lines seemed to blur sometimes. Once I separated the colors into groups, it became more manageable.
