WOW-huge & strong bird. Perfect shot. Here in R.I., we were losing many ospreys(sp? ). So, in conjunction with Save The Bay (DEM), we built platforms for nesting (birds use mostly small branches) along selected river & lake spots. These platform tops probably were at least 4 X 4 feet, so they also are large birds. Guess what? This year, 42 hatchlings survived!

Yeah! That has to make you and your group feel good. You are helping "the least of these" as Jesus said.

I have a couple of nieces in Harrisville, RI, are you near that area? Congratulations on the success of the platforms! My nieces are always doing something to help wildlife or human life! lol

Beautiful picture. For you hearing aid people, have to go get my hearing checked in a few minutes. Hte wearing them, but tolorate them when necessary. Have printed out lots of info on what I have, plus a letter from a relative who works at Gallaudet University in DC.which is a university all about hearing.

I know what you mean elijah, only wear them when I want to hear lol, but unfortunately it magnifies all the sound around me and gives me a headache. Hugs.

Went and she gave me some information using youtube which I hadn't thought of. Have decided to wait until January appointment to see if I could afford another pair. Also did find out directions on how to clean them. I let her do it today.

Aknan and husband would love this as they are quite the bird fancier from her posts on here. I have the rainbow lorikeets visiting each day to feed off the nectar in all my grevilleas - they are certainly beautiful birds.

Take care dear friends and God bless. Hugs.

The Bing screensaver yesterday was three rainbow lorikeets. Gorgeous birds.

Yes, I saw that trynfindit and am surprised at the number of pictures of places in Australia they have on there. I do like Bing very much. Hugs.

This picture reminds me of a photograph I took a couple of years ago in the UK of a big seagull nestled on a rock next to the ocean. We named him Heathcliff.

I remember the albatrosses on Midway. That silly dance they did

Lovely bird. That bill looks like it could do some damage, though, with the sharp point on the end of the little crook, there. The better to tear flesh from the fish with I am sure.

God bless you all.
