I do love houses.

I'm wondering if the stairs lead down to water --- a pond, lake or river.

Good idea --- to build those steps. It would be some slide down the hill!

That looks like a very happy little cottage. I bet there's a nice view on the other side of the hill. Makes me think of how free I felt as a kid when summer vacation started. I have all kinds of freedom now but never feel the freedom I felt in those days. I never felt guilty about just doing something I enjoyed whether it was useful or not.
Hope you are feeling free today.

Those were the days, weren't they. Maybe we'll feel like that again in heaven.

At least. Maybe that's why Jesus said heaven is made of children.

Too many stairs to get up to the house

I was thinking the exact same thing you were about the stairs leading up to the small Russian house. Those are way too many stairs to go up and down. I would be tired out.

This reminds me of a vacation home at "the lake". Small, quiet, and just a place to relax. I am going where I have never gone before....painting a picture with acrylics. I do believe the last time I painted a picture was in grade school with those little watercolor sets we all had to have in school. I have no idea how this will turn out, but I am anxious to try. Wish me luck!! Have a blessed day and don't forget to share the blessings.

Go for it, nborchardt! It's always good to stretch our minds.

I went on a girls night out last week, and we went to one of the painting places where they teach you step by step and then set you free to do whatever you want. We had three generations of Rogers women, Me, my Daughter-in-law, and my Granddaughter-in-law! We had a lot of fun painting Hydrangeas. All three paintings turned out beautiful, but totally different from each other!

I'm so glad we got to do the outing together. My Grandson and his wife moved to Arizona over the weekend. They are the first of our family that has moved more than an hour's drive away from us...They will be missed so much, but I'm happy for them to fly out of the nest to begin their new life together. God bless them on this new adventure!

Have fun nborchardt! I wish I had a talent for painting. My father did, but I did not inherit it. Blessings to you too!

I have no clue how old you are nborchardt, so don't think I'm likening you to Grandma Moses, but I just wanted to say that she didn't begin her painting career until her mid to late 70's. You may discover a latent talent, but if not, you can just have fun. Good luck!

Cute little house. The steps, however, are way too much for my poor knees. I hurt just looking at them. Have a wonderful sunny and happy day. I am enjoying this Spring weather and even planted some seeds yesterday.

Very interesting place! Grass needs mowing very badly!
