In the heart of a seed buried deep so deep, a dear little plant lay fast asleep. Awake said the morning light, Awake said the sun shine bright & the little plant heard & awoke to see what the wonderful outside world might be.

Good grief--Mondrian in real life! The shot is a bit grainy tho' (lol).
So far the bad stuff has stayed south of us. I hope that holds for the whole day. Prayers for those getting another awful spate of ice and sno. Stay safe! God bless.

Hi pixipixil, I'm raising 2 grandsons (18 and 11) and have a granddaughter (9) who comes here every morning and afternoon- although I'm at work in the afternoon....AND I'm a nanny for a 3 and 5 year old as my job! I'm tired ALL the time!!!! Just found out they are out of school AGAIN tomorrow because of ice in the north part of our county!!!

God be with you in all you do. I could not handle it! I'm 68 this month (on the 26th) and just hurt my hand opening a jar for heavens sake! A few hours with my grandchild (terrible {and wonderful} twos) is
totally exhausting. I can't imagine all those children with an age spread like that. I hope the older ones help you!

Actually, because I have raised them, they are VERY good kids! As you get older (as you know! ) you understand how to parent more effectively. I don't spank, but I sure know how to talk to them and use consequences to get them to do what I expect of them!!! That goes for all my little charges (who mind me MUCH better than they do their parents). At my house, you barely know there are kids at all- they are a true joy! I travel all over the world with all 3 of my grandkids and they are well behaved, great travelers- curious about the world, interested in different cultures, they learn a few words in each language to get by, they eat the new cuisines...I'm very lucky and blessed!!! And I am lucky to be a fairly young grandma for having the kids be as old as they are- I may be a great grandma when I'm 68. Enjoy yours and have your own rules when you're with him/her...he'll learn that he is to behave a certain way with you even if he doesn't with his parents!!!!

Happy Monday! Well, Winter is still busy here. Freezing rain, sleet here in S.W. VA mountains. Sheesh! Seems all we do is arrange our schedules around the "bad" weather. Was 60 deg Sunday and down to 30 this a.m. BUT the day is still good. God Bless everyone!

Once again, I am thankful to live on the west coast of the USA. Rain, rain, rain, but we we need it so badly we can't complain. High of 54 F today. I have room for one female visitor if someone wants to come.
