There are several buildings in Bavaria with similar onion shaped domes. They seem to be pretty popular in parts of Russia and India too.

The Schonbuhel Castle certainly looks like a safe, impenetrable Castle/Fort.
I'd like to visit it - but I doubt that is in my cards. Oh well. I can dream.

Shssssssssss it is nice for us to have some sunshine for a change, when the rain comes and come it will it will and it will not know when to stop so let us hang on to the sunshine while we can. Yes I know we can not have the rain at night and the sun during the day it would solve all our problems, but the weather does not work like that, and just think of all these countries whom are getting floods and Earthquakes, we must thank our lucky stars we are not them.
Have a super day every one and let's hope all your dreams come true.

Santaclause, what is sunshine it is so overcast now for days and its beginning to depress me, next week is the shortest day and then the nights start to draw in and winter will soon be here and we will not have seen the sun. How sad is that.

Hi Barbaranne, this time last year hubby and I were in England and try as we might we could not get use to being woken at 4ish each morning with daylight haha, and still light late at night, We did get some sunny days and enjoyed going to the beaches one of my must do while in England was to go to Brighton my sis and I went and the skies just opened up for most of the day, had great sister day regardless.

We live in Bradford about 4miles from Leeds, yes I know Sedbergh lovely walking country plenty of nice big hills very good for walkers. Have a super day and hope the weather is good for you as we say in the North if you wait for the sun to shine you would be stuck inside all day so who needs the weather when we have our health.(yes it would be nice if we had the summers we used to have when we were youngster.)

I now live in London and mobility is a big problem, walking is not on the books anymore. As children we walked for miles or rather the others walked and I rode, we must have covered a lot of the area and loved it. My fathers work took us down to south Derbyshire and so hill walking ceased, shame.

My daughter lives in Chelmsford and when we go and visit, there are lots of interesting places and some times you feel as though you are back in Yorkshire as the country side is not far and the there are lots of events and Historical houses to see, they have now made Chelmsford a town and it is well worth a visit. Fabulous town and trains and transport is better than ours.
