I have a loom for these and lots of different colored rubber bands. Accule there are two kinds of looms depending on what you want to make. Did lots of them and then put them away. Ran across them awhile ago so may start making some more. It is fun. With this covid it is nice to change up things.

Now that I think about it the rubber bands came in solids mostly in about any color you can think of. They had what was it called like the Air Force uniforms. Kakie? So you could make about any subject you wanted to.

Don't remember seeing these rubberbands when I was a kid, but then I was one of those kids who spent most of the day playing outdoors, not playing on a loom. How things have changed in the here and now.....I am now spending most of my time on a computer, instead of being outdoors. :(

Parents have the idea that the outside isn't safe for children to play in anymore. I think that stems from not knowing your neighbors and from so many parents working outside the home. The kids don't even know the kids next door anymore. We never had to make playdates when our kids were growing up!

Have seen supplies like these in the above photo. These could be rubber bands. They also could be used for something else. They could be used for three ringed spiral binding for a book.

A toy loom? I remember when I was growing up, my neighbor had, I think it was scarlet fever, and one of the things that he had to keep himself occupied was a this kind of loom thing to make hot pads. I don't think these would make practical hot pads - they'd probably melt the first time you tried removing anything from the oven.

The rubber bands are for weaving bracelets and necklaces for kids to do. Next time your near craft section or toy section look the up. Good for fine motor skills and hand eye coordination.

I had one of those looms to make pot holders. Now my great niece has one of these looms to make bracelets. Like they say what is old becomes new again.

This is a different type of loom- it is exclusively for rubber bands to make bracelets, etc from these little rubber bands. The kind of loom for making potholders is much larger and uses bands of material which are ok for heat.

Well, now I understand why I keep finding tiny, colorful little rubber bands around church when I'm cleaning.
