I have decided to take the Spring semester off. I need some downtime. I have been stressed out to the max. Hubby got his wheelchair yesterday from a center that helps low-income families. Thank God for the Agape center. I broke down when we got it.I was so hoping it would not get this far. He is only going to use when we want to go for a walk in the park when the weather gets better and some stores that do not offer riding carts.
We have both been going through so much lately. His legs are getting weak and his breathing is not improving. I want him to still do some walking when his legs allow it. Therapy will not help because of his breathing. He sees the DR. in March and we will see what goes from there. As far as school, I just cannot concentrate on anything right now. Hopefully, when May gets here, I will have my place set up completely, my shed straightened out, and my back bedroom cleaned up. I still have boxes that have not been unpacked after being in our new place after over a year. So, hopefully, I can get some time to do things that need to be done, things I want to do, and things that I am not going to worry about.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend as I am going t enjoy mine with my Honey and no school work to think about.

Sounds like a plan! Take care of the naggy little things that bother. Get organized. Be with the one you love ---- and I should have put that first!

Mamag, I think your plan is excellent. My hubby uses his wheelchair when he goes to any large store or when he would have to walk a ways.

Can your hubby do water therapy? Mine does and it's one of his favorite things to do. He goes to the YMCA pool two or three times a week. He says it's the closest thing to feeling "normal".

I think you've made a wise decision. You need time to recharge. I'll be praying for your husband and you.

God bless you, mamag! I know what you are going through. Don't try to do too much during this time off. Your brain needs some down time. Only do those things that will make you feel good! So glad your hubby was able to get the wheelchair...I know mine gave me back some of the freedom I had lost. I still use my legs when I have to, but if I'm pushed too hard to do more than I can handle, I lose my balance and fall. You don't want that to happen to hubby! Enjoy each other during this semester!

Thank you all so much for the support. I am trying to put my myself back together. I feel like a jigsaw with pieces missing. Now maybe I can get some things done, spend quality time with Joe, and regroup. The wheelchair for my husband is only going to be used only when he has to, I don't want him to get too addicted to it. God bless you all my dear friends.

I'd like to have one of those right now. I'd have to cut it up, though. If I tried to take a big bite out of it, my dentures would fall out!

God bless you all.

Not in any way, shape or form feisty?

Two things I noticed in this photo of the apples. First, I doubt it's in a U.S. supermarket because some of the apples aren't "perfect". Seems like all I've seen in the markets have few blemishes and are usually not mixed in sizes. This is a refreshing view of the way fresh, organic apples would be shown. Second observation: the plastic bag, the bane of our oceans and landfills. Hope whoever packaged these apples at least cuts the loops when they get their apples home, and also cuts down at least one side of the bag so that no ocean critter gets it around its neck and eventually strangles because of it. Better to use reusable bags we bring from home.
