My tongue is dry just thinking of licking those stamps. Thank goodness today's stamps are peel and stick. So much easier. Took me an hour in the 300 Classic cut. Whew!

Not quite as hard as I thought it would be, but I did enjoy doing it. Very colorful stamps!

This one was a challenge lol.

"Consider the postage stamp: its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there." Josh Billings (1818-1885)

If I could only get that one stamped on my brain lol

God bless all of you and take care.

There used to be a song about stick-to-it-ivity! Anyone remember the words?

That was from a Disney movie. I can't get the memory forward but I think I can get to it eventually.

High Hopes...about the ant moving the rubber tree plant
pixipixil
Jun 18, 2013
Once there was a silly old ant, thought he'd move a rubber tree plant.
Anyone knows an ant can't move a rubber tree plant
But he had high hopes. he had high hopes. He had
high apple pie in the sky hopes.
So any time you're feelin sad, 'stead of feelin bad
Just remember that ant and
Whoops there goes another rubber tree plant.
I know all the verses and it's a different song.

It might be from Jungle Book. I seem to remember the bear singing to the boy about that.

My mom has a big collection of stamps and gave it to me....some of them are from the USA, because my uncle was studying there in the late '80s. nowadays we mostly communicate via email..

My brother did the stamp collecting. Mom saved them all for him. Coins, too. I doubt if either was worth a great deal but it was fun for them. I collected butterflies and now do rocks.

GinaSalonica I still have my stamp collection seems like not too many people like to collect stamps anymore. With email there are even less stamps printed except for the serious collectors who buy unused stamps and that can cost a lot of money!

That's why I find my mom's collection precious Rozina1010! The ones I collected are not so many. There are also stamps from the 50s that my grandma gave to my mom! With the economic crisis I can't afford buying unused stamps....

Yes, I used to buy nice colorful complete sets from St. Vincent & the Grenadines, but even with the exchange rate it got too costly. The Caribbean Islands have very colorful sets. I have some Australian mint and a few other nations. Also I have an old wall map of over 15 or more years ago...it is still very interesting!

Was told a great story so I'm going to share it with you.
A young couple had boys of 9&6yrs old, These were the terrors of the area. When ever anything was wrong you knew that the pair were to blame. Parents got very worried and asked the police to talk to the boys.Taking the youngest by himself ask if he went to church, The answer was "yes" the policeman ask him where is God? the child looked at him and said nothing the policeman raise his voice a little and ask again where is God the child trembled but kept quiet. for a 3rd time the question was asled but louder, at this the boy fled to his room and closed the door hard. His older brother wondered what had happened went to see him, found him on his bed very worried and upset. big brother asked what was wrong, the answer came "God has gone missing, And we are being blamed"!!!!.

Really cute, Barbaranne. That reminds me of another boy who was an absolute terror. Every one had a hand in trying to tame him to no avail. Finally one day the priest brought him to church and afterwards he was good as gold. When asked what the priest did the boy said he showed him God's son on the cross. The boy said he knew after that he better cut it out because God wasn't fooling around.
