Have seen many of these kinds of drawings on rock in different places I have traveled.

It looks like there are 3 or 4 people riding on horses herding goats or big horn sheep. I don't know what the animal is on the right side - it kind of looks like a cat. If those are horses, these petroglyphs are, at the most, about 500 years old because horses aren't native to the Americas. They were brought over by the Spanish. I don't know when horses made it to Utah, but that would help archaeologists date this.

I've visited Anasazi ("The Ancient Ones") ruins. Fascinating. In the picture not quite half way down the right hand border, I wonder what the critter is? Dog? It has a kitty head though. Or maybe it is a calf?
What does anyone think?

And there was a time sooo long ago that there were people that told their stories in pictures. If I had been there I would have been one of those doing the drawings. Thanks for this puzzle. It was surely different! 1/23/13
