I have erasers at home but can't tell you the last time I used one. You are either on the computer and hit "delete" or "backspace" or if you are using paper, you use white-out.

I couldn't "erase" this one from my memory, so I worked it a second time and my fingers felt like "lead" when I finished. Heh...

I did this as a mystery was almost Thur before I knew what it was

Reminds me how much I used to love the first day of school, all the spanking new stationery and writing tools, neatly arranged on my desk...

As a teacher I used to ask the children to break their new crayons. Then they were much more creative and didn't worry about breaking them accidentally. Some kids just couldn't do it! You are all correct. Most modern erasers are junk - But then again, how many people still use pencils ?

That's interesting and thoughtful tootiemylove---They had to release their perfectionism, huh?

Tootiemylove--are you still around? It's 2015 and I don't remember seeing your posts ever. I had an art teacher that had us use all our crayons like paint. We had to melt them--high school of course or it would have been too dangerous. I got so frustrated trying to paint what I designed I set the painting on fire.

If you think that's funny, talent--the teacher considered that painting genuine art because it was supposed to be about war and he felt the anger I used to burn the painting was that expression. I turned in another painting which was red whte and blue and expressed nationalism and industrial might. It turned out pretty good but he didn't like that one.

I love you pixi! I've been an fine artist in oil paints since I was 8. I rebelled full on in my middle school art class because of all the stupid stuff they were making us do. I almost failed. You could do well in 'performance art'.

I'd love to be an excellent mime and also be able to do techno dance. (I'd love to break dance but I'd kill myself trying that at my age! )
Did you ever see the movie Ghost World? There is some yucky stuff in it but the part abput the main character and her art class is beyond terrific.
They could throw away the rest of the movie and just do that part of it and I'd love it.

I guess children would love these. I prefer mechanical pencils that hold a point. Pencils that can be erased are good for working crossword puzzles if you lack confidence as much as I do. What else do adults do with them?

My best friend of 64 years always wanted to"play school".
Yuck. She still likes things to do that I don't care for. Our lives have followed different paths, marriages, kids, jobs, etc., but we have always stayed in touch. She is just like family to me.
