Looks like a glass of white wine.

I couldn't figure out what was in the glass on the right. It looked like a lemon floating in something. Now I see it's a cruet (sp? ) of olive oil.
March is such a schizophrenic month. We were int he teens overnight and in a few days re due to hit 70. My poor plants are so confused. The bulbs are a few inches up already and the hyacinths are starting to show flower buds. My birthday is the day b4 Easter so if the crzy weather doesn't kill them, I may have flowers for my birthday.
Wishing you happy thoughts.

We will not have daffodils in the garden for Easter, they started to flower before Christmas and now they are over. It has been so mild we have not had a proper winter.

May you have flowers for all your Birthdays! We're having weird weather in northeast Iowa. Snow then 60s, then more snow then 60s again! Crazy.

Thanks lillysmith. I hope your birthday is also full of blooms--whenever that may be.

Barbaranne, a quince in my yard was getting ready to have a single flower just around Christmas but the cold got to it first. We did drive past a house that had a forsythia blooming, though.

Pixipixil, I can look out my window over my computer and see both forsythias in full bloom & both of the quince are in full bloom. Temp is suppose to get to 70 today. We have had a mild winter this year.

We have 4 - 5 times as many Daffs blooming in our front garden / lawn here in Lincolnshire as last year, yet we did not plant any more last Autumn, so where on earth have they come from?
CatLadyOKC
Mar 4, 2016
Daffs are one that will divide them selves, they need to be dug up after several years and replant (spread the bulbs out again) they will coke themselves out overtime. Mine are blooming here too, they are on the east side of house & can't see them from inside, but they can be seen from the front or back yard.

Sp...fingers did the own thing the word is "Choke" Not "coke".

Yeah, I know that, CatLady, but explain the fact that 19 are growing on our lawn, and we have done absolutely no work on the front garden in the past 12 months except occasionally mowing the lawn, concentrating instead our efforts on the rear garden, and they are widely separated plants

Varmints don't like to eat daffies but they might have dug them up thinking they were something else, then burying them for a snack only to discover they tasted awful.

My daffs haven't done that but my hyacinths have done that, maybe the squirrels are moving them....

My hyacinths get smaller each year. I think the moles or chipmunks nibble on them.

Ha, pixi! schizophrenic month! Never heard that one before. I've had a few, but never knew what to call them.

"March is such a schizophrenic month." That one line absolutely cracked me up! I've never heard that expression used before. Thanks for the laugh.

Not a big fan of pasta.

I'm with Leo - we often overlook the small things we can do that makes life better, for both us and others. Smile at a stranger today and see what happens. Hugs, aussie.

Hi aknan, thank you. Off to Bunnings this morning to do some shopping for repairs etc. Not sure if you have them over there, big hardware shop carrying all sorts of things and a garden centre as well. One of my plants went to heaven, so need to replace it as well as a couple pulled out by my overenthusiastic "weeder" lol. Hugs.

I'm Catholic. My husband was training to become a brother but eventually felt it was not for him and went back to secular life. I met him 2 years later.
I don't know much about the Methodist faith except that it's Christian. We have a friend who is a minister in the Dutch Reformed Church.

ParsonW we do a lot of praying for eachother and praising God so you should feel right at home if you don't already know that. We also enjoy a good laugh.

Amen to that Pixi. It is nice to finally find a group where we can laugh together, cry together, and pray for each other even if we have never physically seen each other. God knows who we are and what each of our needs are. I believe that is why He put us together. I guess even God knows we can be "puzzling" at times even for this Southern Baptist. God loves us all. :)

So sad parsonwayne, unfortunately at our age (and I am assuming you are in your 70's) it is a fact of life that more and more of our friends pass away. Take care. Hugs.

I am so sorry for your loss Parson Wayne. Prayers going up for the family.
May it comfort you to know that, your loved one is safe in God's care now, and that friends are praying for you in your time of sorrow.

The righteous man perishes, and no one lays it to heart; devout men are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous man is taken away from calamity; she enters into peace; they rest tin their beds who walk in their uprightness. Isaiah 57:1-2

I am in my 70's [76], but he was only in his early 50's. As a great man of God said to Dr. Warren Weirsbe when he tried to comfort him in the loss of his wife, "If you know where they are, you haven't lost them." Thank you all for your prayers for that family.
I also realize, the more people my age who have died, the less peer pressure there is.
Hugs to each of you.

Remember the commercial with the little old lady who was demanding, "Where's the beef?! " That is what I'm thinking with this puzzle picture.

I think that little old lady found the beef and ate it all. Ha ha....she was with Wendy's. Wendy's left our town and I really miss them.

My first thought was of " I can't believe I ate the whole thing" from a commercial from the sixties. It featured a woman feeding her husband spaghetti.

SwampLady..remember the commercial for Tums where the guy said " That's a spicy meataball!! "? He actually pronounced meatball with an "a" in the middle. Goodness, how old are we?

Old enough to remember the good stuff. I got so sick of hearing "man are you old" at work from the under 30 co-workers, That I told them that it wasn't my fault they were born too late.
