Weather is too cold and blustery for an autumn walk today. I could use a walk under some big old oaks. Old trees give such a sense of stability and well-being.
Wishing you all a quiet Sunday that soothes your souls.

Aw, pixi, thanks for such lovely words. We all wish you the soothing love of God's peace.

Old trees do give a wonderful sense of strength don't they?

Thanks trynfindit. Yes they do. I love the gnarled ones that seem to have the struggles of their life's story recorded in their bark. They have endured and survived.

Thank you, Malko. I do so love God's creation.
I was just talking to a friend about how much we are comforted by old trees. She is facing a serious operation which will reveal if she has cancer. Please pray for her that the tumors are benign.

Wow forget about fall and Indian summer Today we got rain and then it already turned to snow never remembered it ever snowing before Thanksgiving. Luckily the ground is wet and it is not sticking around. Have a great November all.

When Little I live in Michigan (Detroit) and it would always snow before Thanksgiving or it would snow on Thanksgiving Day. Never failed. Loved it. Where are you?

Been a warm one today and would appreciate your prayers because there is a distinct possibility that I have shingles.

A bit different but thought you might be interested in these facts.

Koalas aren't bears as many people are led to believe. They aren't even related to bears. The koala is related to the kangaroo and the wombat. The koala is a marsupial mammal. The reason the koala is called a koala bear is because the koala looks like a teddy bear.
The koala's scientific name is Phasclarctos Cinereus.

Now there are only 2, 000 to 8, 000 koalas in the wild! Although not officially classified as endangered, the population of Australian koalas has dropped by 90% in less than a decade. This is due to the destruction of the koala's natural habitat, a narrow crescent on the eastern coast of Australia.

Take care and God bless. Hugs.

I hope you get to the doctor quickly so he can treat whatever you have...and that it turns out to be something less serious.

Oh aussie, I hope you don't have shingles. I've never had them, knock on wood (knocks on head) but my mom did and they were very painful.

Thanks for the good info on koalas. I've also heard they've got something of a nasty temper.

Not too sure about the nasty temper, they are pretty docile, but the do intend to pee without warning on unsuspecting tourists and locals as well lol.

Off to the doctor this morning and am almost certain it is shingles, but hope to have caught it before it gets too bad. I am also having some device put on today measuring blood pressure. It has to stay on for 24 hours and you cannot get it wet!!! They told me no showering, but I will have to find some way to keep the device water proof as it has been very hot here lately!! God bless and hugs to all.

Thank you - it isn't shingles, the doctor said it was some sort of insect bite. PTL - hugs.

Good news, Aussie. Now get that shot. We did. Also got the pneumonia shot. You have to get those every 5 years. And the flu shot every year. I recommend to all having those. Avoided some really bad stuff I used to get 2-3 times every year but avoided because of the flu shots.
