I knew this was from Ireland before I finished and read the caption. I loved looking at all the old falling down building like this in Ireland. They do tell a tale.

It is very hot and humid here in VA. In the 100's in some areas. Poor hubby really suffers from this weather especially with him being on O2!!!! Thank God he has a portable machine. This way he can at least get to church and Sunday School. if he gets out before me, he will ask someone in the congregation to start the car and put on the AC. until I get out after meeting some of the other parishioners. For those suffering with COPD, asthma, and other problems who have trouble in the heat, stay cool as best as you can, drink plenty of fluid especially those with electrolytes, and try to not overdo anything strenuous. God bless and take care.

We've had 2 "heat waves" so far this summer-defined as temp & humidity>90 degrees here in RI. My son's girlfriends' sister got married in MAINE Sat in Bar Harbor & it was way hot up there.

It's the 100 degrees temps & the high humidity that is causing the Heat Alerts here, we usually have low humidity this time of year it's now usually rainy here in July, but it's nice to have to water the grass every other day to keep it green. (We are also in a odd/even days for watering the grass). Have a great day & KEEP COOL! The elec. co. loves us here during the summer!

Gotta love these old photos. Looks like a storm is coming and how smart these people were to use stone as building material. Not so clever w/roofs, however. I guess little space in back was an outhouse & building to right of main house was a barn. Potato famine seems to have resettled millions - anyone know what % of Irish came to America?

If the walls could talk, they would have some tales to tell.

QUOTES - The only thing domestic about me is I was born in this country.
PHYLLIS DILLER,

Housework can't kill you, but why take a chance?
PHYLLIS DILLER, END

Hi darambo, glad you are improving and hopefully more comfortable. Cold here again this morning and have to do a load of washing and hang it out. However, we have been told it will be a beautiful day to enjoy the sunshine. Hugs.

Was it Phyllis who said she didn't clean her oven until she could bake only one cupcake at a time?

Interesting, yesterdays puzzle was described as a cottage and this one a house, I would change those desciptions round, then they would fit better. It might have been a farm labourers cottage with plenty of ground for a garden and a veggy plot.
Have a blessed week taking care of yourselves. Lots of hugs

I have always wanted to go to Ireland, also. My dream trip would be a bus tour of Ireland and Scotland. Maybe someday, although at 67 and living month to month it is looking less likely all the time. Still, I believe in miracles. God bless you dbnc2.

Nlb, I'm 69 1/2 and we're planning our next trip to England. No time like the present.

It's not age that is holding me back as much as money. And the amount of time it would take to save that much at the $20 or so I have left at the end of each month. By then it would be age that held me back. Even so...

Aww, I'm so sorry. Have you thought about doing one of those 'go fund me' kinds of accounts online?
nlbuchanan
Jul 24, 2017
I don't think a fun trip for me is important enough to ask other people to fund it for me. Were it a medical or real need I might do that but nothing so frivolous as a trip. If God wills it, He will finance it. Again, I believe in miracles and will not totally give up the dream, no matter how unlikely it seems. Thank you for your kind thoughts and suggestion and that you did "trynfindit" when it came to a way to make my dream come true. God bless you.
