I wonder what the thread of today's conversations will be.
One nice thing is I know nobody will needle me.
Will this thread be used to create something new
Or will it serve to mend something broken and askew?
It will not sow discord I know
But serve to make our community grow.
Wishing you a day where wnat is broken is mended.

Love your comment today, wish it had been there when I did mine, but it wasn't showing. I am not that good with rymes.

Hi Cindy: You whipped me good again! 2 and a half minutes worth.
Glad you like the rhyme. It's the normal grey day for Albany but yesterday was sunny and still warm. Went to a farm and enjoyed the fresh air and beauty of the corn fields.

Thanks, Taffi. Hugs back at ya.
Marine--we could not have kids and our only son just died at 32--adopted. I won't have his kids to pass anything to as I only know for sure of one and his mother sems to want to cut off from our letting her even have her clothes. Her mother tells me she hasn't told her her father is gone for good. WE are cutting away from it all as I could not bear to see her. Even thinking about her makes me cry.
Thank you for your good wishes. I have some poems under copyright and may some day publish them if only on Kindle where no body reads your stuff unless a big publisher is pushing you or you have blogs that are popular. At least they will be "out there" for posterity.

I'm sorry, Marine. What I tried to explain simply is very complicted. My son fathered one child by a mentally unbalanced woman and another by another woman whom he thought wonderful by comparison but turned out to be lazy and selfish. The child she bore was probably his but she is pregnant again and this child probably is not although she claims otherwise. She had moved out before the first child was born and never moved back. He married neither woman. He adored his first child--a wonderful little girl and we tried to help him keep her (successfully until he died 3 weeks ago) in his custody and away from the mother. The mother used the courts to get her the day after my son died and we were tied up with the funeral. We got along with the grandmother of child 1 and hoped she would be able to keep her. The court ruled otherwise so continuing to be involved serves only to make me very ill.

Just read about your loss - so sorry. Our family has lost alot as well. 9 relatives in 9 years and at times it's hard. Loved them all and miss them!

Yes, carols. And as the years pass I seem to miss them more, not less.

Did this one again, and want to correct myself. The thread I described as purple, is really more of a lilac hue. So there myself, you have been corrected!
