Stay safe all my fellow Floridian puzzlers...may God be with all of us and keep us safe from Irma...I also pray that the very large tall oak tree six feet from my bedroom window will stay put so I think I will spend the night on the floor near the back door just in case...I have re-read the story of Noah and the ark and we are all in very similar times with the people in this wonderful world who are so confused
and unhappy with everything...I pray that all of us in Irma's path will make it through safely...and many thanks to all my friends who have contacted me with emails, phone calls and prayers...God is good!

I and many I know in Nor Cal are praying for all of you in Irma's path. May God be with you and keep you safe. I am praying that when it all is over your house will be upright and dry, you will have water, power and internet so you can tell us all is well with you.

All is good here in southwest FL. Please continue praying for those in the Keys, Marco Island, Naples and points in between. We are about 35 miles north of Naples, but by the time the storm reached us it had calmed down. There was a lot of damage in the Ft Myers/Cape Coral area, but not as bad as south of us. Thank you for all your prayers and positive thoughts. GBU all of you!!

It was a wild and wicked night here in Disney paradise...My kids wanted me to go stay with them but I just wanted to stay with my "stuff" but when the wind really got wild and stuff began flying around, my younger son came and stayed with me as he lives in an old Florida wooden "cracker" home that rests on cement blocks, no foundation, so his house was really rockin'. The best miracle of all when morning arrived I realized that my little home still had power which meant air conditioning was alive and well...we were so lucky to have survived with no major damage and the big old tree still stands proudly by my window. However, many poor Floridians south of us were not so fortunate and I pray for them...thanks for all the messages and prayers...even though I had no internet, tv or phone, including cell, I did stay cool so all was fine with me...thank you so much for all your prayers....

So glad you and your family survived Irma. I think the aftermath is sometimes worse than the hurricane. God bless you. Hugs.

I thank God for answering many prayers concerning Irma. Yes, there was a lot of damage, particularly to the south, but He surely calmed the storm to protect so many more. And we will keep praying for mercy and help while people try to recover their lives as best they can in the aftermath of such destruction. May God continue to bless you.

Never use nail polish, it makes my hands feel dirty. Even if I could it would not be allowed, can you imagine me with a grey habit and bright red or decorated nails, Reverend Mother would be horrified as liberal as she is it would be one step to far.
Stay safe all of you, and may God bless you and keep you in the palm of His Hands.

I don't use polish either, I used to chew my nails but when I quit working I quit chewing my nails. I wouldn't mind using some polish either a clear or a very light color but I seem to get it all in areas I don't want it. I have to remember to file mine back they get too long quickly.

Lovely colours, don't think I could wear them on my fingernails though.

"When you are in troubled and worried and sick at heart
And your plans are upset and your world falls apart,
Remember God's ready and waiting to share
The burden you find much to heavy to bear--
So with faith, "Let Go and Let GOD" lead your way
Into a brighter and less troubled day"
– Helen Steiner Rice

Been praying for those in Irma's path and hope you are all safe.

Take care and God bless. Hugs.

The only one that I'd touch would be third from the back, a pale luminous pink. Otherwise, nope!

God bless you and everyone! (Now, why do I feel like Oliver Twist? ) Take care of yourselves. Hugs!

Aussie! I can't believe it! That poem is on my wall so I see it everyday! It's gotten me through some very hard times...My mother received a get well card with that poem on it when she was having heart problems in 1976. Those were the days when people were "decopaging" everything, and mom put that card on a plaque and hung it on the wall so she could memorize it. When she passed away in '77 I kept the plaque for my wall. It's a wonderful memory of mom, and it helps me remember that no matter what pain or problem I'm having is in God's hands...and He can handle it!

The purple color I've seen on a womans hand. Now there's a new method to put nail color on. It's called Gel. It lasts 2 weeks - instead of 2 days. I won't go into a nail salon anymore. I took a woman in and she was telling me that her fingers hurt while they were taking off the color. I mentioned it to the tech and he says yeah she didn't tell me. She's good and you're not.

I'm a plain Jane when it comes to nails. Short, but I try to keep them shaped. No polish. Maybe clear polish for state occasions!
