This looks luscious, but I would cut the piece in half and eat the rest the next day. To me, quality is always more desirable than quantity.

I agree. Way to much chocolate. Although the sugar rush might help me get through my assignments for school, especially in my Apologetics class.

For me there is because if I eat too much chocolate I will get migraines. I never was much for chocolate anyways except for white chocolate.

Yummy! For all those people who say that they wouldn't eat it, I'll gladly take your slice. I love chocolate mousse cake, although I've never had German chocolate mousse cake.

One thing I never understood about German chocolate cake, where did they get the coconut from? Coconuts don't grow in Germany, at least not in the areas I've visited. But then, neither does cocoa, but that does seem to have made its way into much of Europe.

My son was stationed in Germany and married a German girl. When he asked her to make him a German chocolate cake she had no idea what he was talking about! I have always believed it was a cake made with German chocolate, not a chocolate cake that's recipe originate in Germany.

In my opinion, this is NOT a German Chocolate cake. There's no coconut, no nuts, and no cake! I think it's a Chocolate Chip Cheesecake...Still looks yummy, though! For all of you that can't eat this because it has sugar or too much chocolate...I'll eat your piece!!

I think there's a difference between 'German Chocolate Cake' and 'German Chocolate Mousse Cake.'

I think the cake is the chocolate stripe of the cake. The lighter colored mousse could have nuts and coconut in it. I'm willing to eat a slice (or two) to make sure. ;-)
