Cats see thing we can't

I found out my niece's cat Thomas died yesterday. He had been adopted by my sister and he was 16 years old. She never called me to tell me. I found out on Facebook. How sad for her that she can't even pick up a phone. I tried to be nice but I guess it is pretty much over between us, something we promised mom would never happen on her death bed. Oh well. I can't help I have to take care of my husband and not do the things she wants me to do or go places with her. In my book, my husband comes first.

Yes, indeed. If your husband needs you, he must come first.

Your husband definitely comes first, If your sister doesn't realize that, she must be a rather selfish person. So sorry for the spit in the family, but these things happen. Time and prayer will help - and patience. Just be there when she really needs you, if at all possible.

I love my sister more than she realizes. I cannot help it y husband took a turn for the worse. This was not supposed to have happened. This is not the way I wanted my life was supposed to be. I guess the Lord has bigger and better plans for my life.

Mamag, we're both coping with lives that aren't going the way we planned. It's hard - I speak from experience, too. Man proposes, God disposes. We simply have to wait and see what's planned for us. Have faith, take care of yourself so you can continue and pray, as I'm doing for you.

Thank you aknan. I just need to remember Jeremiah 29:11.

Dear mamag15, I am so sorry to hear about Thomas' passing. We had one cat we adopted in Mississippi when we were stationed at the Air Base there. We got her at the animal shelter. She wasn't full grown yet and talked to us as we walked by her cage. We petted her through the wires and she purred, That was it. We took her home and she lived almost 20 years with us. She loved to travel and would jump into her travel cage as soon as we got it out. She flew to Germany with us and back to the States after 3 years there. Our son doesn't remember being without her. He was about 16 months old when
we took her home. We had many cats after that as people would bring us strays they had found. Princess made friends with them all. We would find homes for the strays. We had at least 26 cats over the years. People also dropped dogs off at the end of the dead end road we lived on in Illinois. One was terribly abused. Cigarette burns on his body. I hope things are going better for you.
You are right to put your husband first. My dear husband of almost 50 years passed away suddenly Oct. 1st 2017.
He had Parkinson's and had a massive heart attack and
died right before my eyes before help could reach him.
I really miss him, but take comfort in the fact that we had such a good life together in the Air Force and out. Keep looking up. If you need someone to chat with drop me a line at ednasand@att.net

With your sister pick a day weekday so you can do some things together include your husband in this decision so that he knows what to expect limit your time so that you can get a feeling about how long it's possible to be gone keep your phone handy and tell husband how important some leisure time means to you GOD BLESS YOU ALL

I've always loved cats. When I was in 4th grade I was home from school getting over the measles, when my Mom noticed the cows in the pasture were all in a circle bending over something in the middle of the circle. She asked me if I felt well enough to go see what they were doing. They had surrounded a tiny angora kitten
and were licking it and trying to care for it. They let me pick it up and followed behind me to the fence I climbed through with the kitten. Making sure I was not harming it. We named him fluffy and we had him for many years. I fed him pig starter with a tiny doll bottle until he could lap up cows milk. We think someone drove past our farm and threw him out into the pasture. Who knew that cows would have such caring feelings for a kitten. Animals are such wonderful creatures.

Just had to get to that parrot puzzle from yesterday. They are such beautiful and impressive birds. They are so smart.
This is a handsome cat. Can't tell what he's trying to catch from the thumbnail. Maybe I'll do a simple puzzle just to get a look at the photo enlarged.
Have a happy day all.

It looks like he is looking at what might be a bug on the long green stem to the right of the picture. And yes Pixipixil, he looks like a Bengal to me too.
