I had my stitches and staples removed this afternoon also. Ahhhhhh...relief! Now I have to concentrate on healing quickly as my hubby has the same surgery (lumbar fusion) in August. Here we go again!

Had lumbar fusion years ago. Miserable. Hopefully newer methods prevail. God blessings for a quick recovery for you and hubby.

My aunt had that. I hope I never have to. Thinking of getting a spinal gives me the creeps. God bless you Joyce, hubby and Cindy. May you never have to repeat that awful ordeal.

My father had a spinal tap and was informed that they don't do them like they used to. They took him to the OR to put him to sleep. Then they did the spinal tap.

I hope there is treatment today and you can continue to function. My mother had MS and there was no treatment then. I wish you the best of luck.

I had a spinal tap, also called a lumbar puncture, last year to diagnose my MS. I was awake for the whole thing, but it wasn't bad at all. The only thing painful about it was laying on my stomach! I had to hold completely still for the whole procedure which took place under a huge MRI machine so the doctor could see where the needle was going. They numb the area, so you really can't feel a thing.

I'm sure different doctors do it differently, but I'm very glad I had it done. It was the final test that revealed that I have MS. It answered a whole lot of questions, and made it possible to get the treatment that I needed.

I'm so sorry to hear you have MS, Joyce. I understand knowing what's wrong is better than being in the dark. At least you can begin to get some help.

I've been to France as well twice. Have been to other countries. Some I loved and others I'd never go back but were an adventure. I was in one destination - I was so nervous that I thought I was going to die!

This looks like the Maya pyramid at Uxmal where we visited last year on an excursion from a cruise ship! I will be away from Crazy 4 Jigsaws for 2 1/2 weeks as we are traveling this morning to France for vacation to celebrate my oldest grandson's high school graduation, my oldest daughter's 40th birthday and my 60th birthday!!! Also coming are my youngest grandson who "graduated from elementary school and my granddaughter who will turn 10 a couple weeks after our return. Her parents (my youngest daughter and her hubby) will join us in Paris in a week after we have spent a week exploring the Dordogne area. I'll sure miss my puzzles and the daily conversation! Everyone, take care be well!!!!

Thank you for all the lovely good wishes! We got home yesterday, and I'm exhausted- had to do 6 loads of laundry, restock the fridge and give abundant love to our 2 dogs and 3 cats who missed us! We all had a wonderful time and saw so many amazing and beautiful places! We have several hundred pictures that I wish I could share here! Too tired to start puzzling tonight, but I'll be back tomorrow!!!!

Well, we had a marvelous time, of course!!!! The Dordogne region of France is breathtakingly beautiful. We visited several chateau, prehistoric cliff dwellings and caves, canoed on the Dordogne River and wandered around medieval villages. We stayed in a 225 yr old farmhouse which was large, covered with flowering vines and had a pool! In Paris, we did all the typical stuff- Louvre, Montmartre, Sacre Coer, the Latin Quarter, the Opera Garnier, many churches, crypts, etc. and ate wonderful food! It was a fantastic trip for all of us- my grandkids loved everything they did- this is their 3rd time there and they love France!

Sounds like a you all had a great time. I would love to go to different countries. I think my first choice would be Amsterdam and then Holland. I always had a fascination with Dutch since I am Pennsylvania Dutch, German and Irish.
We are happy to have you back safe and sound.

I'm German Irish nd would like to see the Bavarian part of Germany. My other's side was from Stuttgart but I don't know where my dad's side came from./ I think it must have been near the Austrian border because I once came across my grandfather's prayer book printed in Austria in the late 1800's. I wish I knew what I did with it.

If you're wondering where the Irish went it's on my mother's side. She was 50-50.
