Went to the beach this morning, was already 85 deg., didn't stay long. :( Hot, very hot today. Hubby cut the grass, came in all heat depressed. Needed lots of water and a nice cooling shower. Just way to hot to be doing yard work. I have not weeded in more than a week, starting to look a bit messy, that tiny little garden we have. Went out shopping on Monday, very early. We carry two coolers with us for the groceries. Wouldn't be able to shop without them. So glad to hear Crickett is enjoying the great outdoors. Hugs back at you and Crickett, a carress behind the ears. :)) >^-^< Keep well. :)

We spent all morning at the eye drs. He didn't have to get the shot, but they wanted more pictures so that took extra dye and a longer time, didn't get back until after lunch. His eyes will stay dilated until almost tomorrow am. Hotest day yet today, & sun a blue skies most of the day. I have 3 of the cold bags & we use them and we are less than 2 miles to any of 3 stores here. Crickett has spent the day in the house with the a/c. He thanks you for the hug & the ear carress. Temp was 94 today and it is very muggy here still. Could have some severe weather here Fri. nite thru Mon. not looking forward to that have had enough of it. Hugs >^-^< !!!

How are you doing? Hope all is fine with your husband and his eyes have improved.
Not much happening around here, staying in mostly. It's been just too hot to go running around outside. Hubby was outside very early in the A.M. to mow lawn, and came in heat exhausted. Had to drink a lot of water, was whipped out for the remainder of the day. Two days later, went out to weed the little garden. Same thing, came in heat exhausted. Anything above 85 deg. is just too much to be outside working.

Take care of yourselves...! Grandson comes bye and mows the yard, even though he is not living here anymore. We go from the a/c house, to the a/c car, to the a/c store when it get hot. The heat here has been pretty good, but the humidity is terrible, not use to that.
Watching for storms again today, but not until later on in the day. We aren't doing much but going to the grocery when we need something. Crickett goes out for awhile early morning, but then he is back in his cool room sleeping! Hugs to all...

You made me laugh, I'm also a 2 cuppa type person, actually it's a large Maine Coon mug. :)) Load it up twice and I'm good to go! :)) My mug has a large golden/orange Maine Coon, same as KitKat, so miss her. Sometimes I still hear her meowing for fresh water. Look around, but of course she's not there. Miss her greatly. Hoping to get another kitty in the fall, if all goes well. It is expensive to adopt a cat in a shelter, then vetting and all new bedding and everything else the cat will need. So I'm hoping for fall.
Didn't do much on Sunday, much to hot to get out. But we do have to go out on Monday. Pretty much like you, from a/c to a/c, car...shopping...restaurant...back to car and home. Looking forward to fall, already. Three months to go. :) Have a good day. Hugs all around and a kitty caress for Crickett. >^-^< Calling it a night, getting very late. :)

Our OKC Shelter runs specials, all of the animals have had shots, nuttered or spaded, & chipped if you watch for them you can sometimes free or for as little as $25.00. They feature the pet of the week on Friday noon news, they also have a foster pet plan. Hubby still says no more for us. Looking for storms again this afternoon so need to get done with computer. I think last I looked we can expect them all week. Cloudy here again. Weather radio is on a ready to go....really like the new one, our old one is just about to crater we have had it since 2000 and it has really been used.

Hi CatLadyOKC, We've checked out our shelter prices, everything is on line with the 3 local shelters. They are quite expensive, depends on the animal and breed. Then there is the paperwork and the background check and vet references. We really don't have a regular vet in this area, as we just moved 6 months ago. We are checking around for the best way to go. We're hoping for word of mouth, something will come along.
I will check into the foster pet plan, see what that is about.
Another hot one for today, staying in today. We were out yesterday, went out early. It was 80 when we left, coming home it was already 89. Reached 95 with heat index of 100. :(
