Made me think of the Moroccon puzzle we had recently. Beautiful work.

"Love cannot endure indifference. It needs to be wanted. Like a lamp, it needs to be fed out of the oil of another's heart, or its flame burns low."

Henry Ward Beecher

"Psalm 119:105 - Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path" The Bible

Found a great hint that works - my skin has become quite fragile in my later years ;) and just have to bump something and it comes up in a big blood blister. I read that witch hazel works, and guess what, it does. :)

Take care and God bless. Hugs.

Wow. I haven't heard of witch hazel since my grandmother died. She was a great believer in it. Also Burrough's solution. I never liked the smel of that one and don't remember what she used either one for.
I miss being able to purchase some of the old cures. They really did work and didn't require an expensive prescription.

Every time I want to get one of the tried and true old cures, the pharmacist has to look it up in his book to see if it still exists. Tried to get some Absorbine, Jr. one time. That was an experience. The young people looked at me like I was making it up. Have you tried to buy just plain cocoa butter?

Witch hazel can also make a good, inexpensive toner for your skin. It also helps soothe sunburn, if you're unfortunate enough to get one.

My grandmother was big on witch hazel, Campho-phenique and prune juice!

You can get cocoa butter at WalMart's. I have some I use on my hands and nails.
Camphor oil that really was oil can't be had. What's out now is watery. I used to love prund juice but have switched to the actula dried prunes. Love em as a snack.
Anybody remember peptinoids and creosote or cod live roil and malt? Also paraghoric (sp) and tincture of myrrh. Epsom salts are another oldy but goody and you can still buy that.

Yes aknan I have also started using it as a toner and pixi, Epsom salts diluted in water is good for plants whose leaves are yellowing. Hugs.

Thanks for the tip about the plants. I do get that yellowing problem. Thought it was an iron deficiency.

My grandmother gave me cod liver oil in orange juice every morning. Maybe it worked. I'm still here at 77. How much Epson salts - how much water. I just use it for sore muscles in a bath. I guess the yellowing leaves could be interpreted as sore muscles.

The Epson salt package gives instructions for using on plants. I use them along with coarse salt to make bath salts.

I just loved that trip down memory lane. My great grand-daughter (age 16) gave me a bottle of witch hazel. I was kind of surprised and ask her what's that for? She said o grandma, it's for your face. I said I knew that but I didn't know you did.
