Many fruit starts out green and then it turns their natural color. Or it's green and there's a shell and then you have the fruit.

It is a nice sunny day here also, just a bit cool for us. Mid-afternoon is 73 degrees. We were cold last night. Have a great afternoon. :)

They keep saying rain, but so far none. We probably need it to green up the grass, but we also need some warmth. Went for a walk and the wind was down right cold. DWTS tonight. You have a good evening. :)

I'm voting for Kim and Robert. They won't win, but I like them both. I think a romance may come out of it though. I'm hoping......little ole match maker me. LOL Do you have a favorite? I think Val and his partner may be the winners. They are so good.

I have voted for Kim and Robert, they are 2nd on my list. 1st on my list is Val and Rumor Willis, that is Bruce Willis daughter. 3rd I like Nastia, she is with Derek. I have voted for Suzanne, but I think she will soon be gone. I do believe you are right about Val and Rumor my be the winners. :) Looking forward to next Monday. :)

Again, a very difficult puzzle, but did ease up at the end. Just had to find the rhythm.

Interesting looking fruit. Has anyone ever had one? Are they edible?

Never even heard of this fruit, kjd. At first, I thought it was a lime.

According to Wikipedia, the oil is used for dipping bread and couscous. Research on the oil points to better cardiovascular function, as it reduces cholesterol. It also seems to be a cancer preventative and aids dieters in overcoming obesity.

Moroccans use the virgin oil to treat skin and hair. The oil, apparently, is useful for some skin diseases and dry, scaling skin.

Of the fruit: The fruit is 2–4 cm long and 1.5–3 cm broad, with a thick, bitter peel surrounding a sweet-smelling but unpleasantly flavored layer of pulpy pericarp (I had to look up this botanical term--its what we commonly refer to as the pith, or outer coating of the fruit).

I also found this interesting: Argan fruit falls in July, when black and dry. Until this happens, goats are kept out of the argan woodlands by wardens. Rights to collect the fruit are controlled by law and village traditions. The leftover nuts are gathered after consumption and excretion by the goats.

So, it doesn't say that people eat them, but the oil is used and highly prized.

I've only heard of argan oil in cosmetic use, mostly hair products.

I was about to ask that too. I wonder what they would taste like if they are edible.
