Guessing this is a map from a Mid Eastern perspective. It is common for Egyptians to refer to Egypt as Misr, if they are resident in Cairo, but if outside of Cairo, then they will refer to Cairo as Misr.
Interesting map. Would be a bit easier if the locations could be deciphered. Didn't have a microscope on hand. But, Kardeniz and Suudi Arabistan? I guess "deniz" means sea? Where did this map come from?
